Question for those of you who idealist, or who had been an idealist. Are you tired of being an idealist? When you have been satisfied with all the theories and principles of life, then you throw it away. either because you are bored, either too rigid and not suitable, either for whatever reason, Then you liberate your soul and mind, Have you ever been so? Why?

No matter how we try we can't get rid of our prejudices. We are born with them and they will not set us free till we die. Idealism is a prejudice in itself. You have principles that you think is the only truth in this world. You have point of views that you wish others would also have. You have a high expectations from yourself as well as from all others. You want the world to be perfect and ideal, which is absolutely impossible. Do you know why? It's because human beings are inherently imperfect. When you are in relationship with others you need to accept them the way they are. But if you are an idealist, your ideologies will prevent you from doing this. You will be hesitant, shaken and shut away. So it's better to liberate your mind and keep your options open.

I don't agree Getbiswa2000. You can have ideals that you wish others would live up to, but still recognise the impossibility of that ever happening. You must apply the same standards to yourself.

I was far more idealistic when I was younger. As I've grown older I have tempered that with realism. I've become more accepting of people who fall short of that 'ideal' , even though, paradoxically, I know allot more about what the 'ideal' is.

Yes, I am ever bored. A long time ago, had also felt satisfied with the theory and principles of life, but this does not mean I throw it away. Yes, I've tried to liberate the soul and mind. Because I would not want to deal with the real. If people have a great interest in studying social problems, politics and law in a scientific, inevitably will be faced with two philosophical understand it, is not it?
