the very nature of my job is unfriendly or maybe there is an unfortunate mismatch between employees and me and my superiors. i don't need to leave my current job because i find myself feeling unhappy because i know i am performing at work, i just look for ways to improve my current situation. i think it is hard to seek a different job in the same field. it may be my job, not my career, that is the problem. would you believe that my career is farming? my job now is in the office. career change is the most dramatic, expensive and full of patience and sacrifice choice that i had. but i know that the benefits are well worth the high cost. my choice for career now is not a life long dream-something that is too risky and impractical when i was younger. some dreams of mine are worth chasing. there goes, i'm not satisfied and unsuccesful. i can not expect my ideal job here. i think i can have a match better chance of finding a good match not job.

Career Change means you taking private responsibility for what happens to your career. Most of you know by now that your career development is your own accountability, because the days when you thought your career was your employer's responsibility have long gone. If you feel strained into a change because of the economy or you're being laid off, you may have thought about ways to start your career planning that engage working from home or working online, but my advice is Don’t do it unless you can afford to go without an income for 4 months.

Hi zills66,
A career change may be indeed a very difficult attempt. I've shifted careers twice in my life, but those weren't radical changes, just minor shifts within the same line of work, more or less.
It's always good to have the opportunity to learn and to try new things.
It's also nice to pursue one's dreams, but, like you said, it's probably best done during maturity years, and not during youth, when we're all too easily influenced.
I wish you the best of luck in your attempts!

If you were doing the same job for couple of years, it would be a very challenging phase of your career. I was doing this job for 2 years and I do not like the demand of the job. I always end up crying and getting sick. I frown everyday of my life in that job. But I cannot escape because my dilemma is..this is a high paying job. Even though my dream job is to be a teacher, I find myself stocked in office works. Career change would give us opportunity to learn another set of things, but, it would also lead us to basics.

Well, the way I see it. A career change is something interesting. Doing something that you are not used to is a learning experience. Sometimes, your dream job will not be exactly what you thought it would be. In a blink of an eye, your dream can become a nightmare. I think that if we are not happy of the job we have right now, we should keep on searching for the right job for us. We might not know what it is now but sooner or later, we will.
