I like to drink hot chocolate a lot during the winter . My kids love to drink it too. I make it with milk and I put marshmallows in it and sometimes whip cream. Sometimes I warm the milk on the stove and sometimes I heat it up in the coffee pot. Rarely, I will use water.
My husband surprised me recently and made me some that tasted real good and I was wondering how he made some when we didn't have any hot chocolate packets. He made it using chocolate syrup. It was real good.

Thank you for commenting. Chocolate does have a very good flavor and kids do get addicted to it real fast.It does warm you up when it is cold.

I think it works well using chocolate syrup instead of packets because you don't have to dissolve anything. I really should get some hot chocolate soon because it is cold and I don't have anything to drink. Of course I would have to get a cup also since I only have cold cups. Thanks for bringing this up!

Thank you for commenting. That is a good way of thinking about the chocolate syrup being the way of making hot cocoa.

I only just add milk in hot chocolate and sometimes
a little sugar if it lacks sweetness. I also add
chocolate cookie bits in it for a little crunch.
