to all my wonderful Friends here who supported me and gave me strength to stay strong for my Gissi, prayed for him and kept him in their thoughts Well.........................the miracle is Gissi is back, not 100% but the Vet was so surprised when Gissi went bouncing in she even asked me if it was the same Dog from yesterday or did I have 2 of them When we got back yesterday I did a lot of crying, I was hugging my boy and talking to him, thanking him for the happiness he has brought to me, the love he has given me, I also told him even though I was not ready to let him go if it is his time, I am there with him, but if it is not his time, to please fight I fell asleep on the Settee when I woke up 2 hours later, I had this little Dog sitting there looking at me, I rubbed my eyes to make sure I was awake, he wagged his Tail, something he had not done in 3 Days He also was not dragging his foot but he was slightly limping and still is, my Daughter come through and she to was amazed, we both just looked at him, he started to bark at us, I guess he was fed up with us 2 staring at him as though he was a ghost He is still weak but not as weak as he was, his strength is picking up Then even more amazed last night he was eating ( I am crying as I am writing this as I still can not believe it) when one of my Friends came over, she was in tears, she asked me what I had done, I told her nothing really just cuddling him and talking to him I got up this morning to find my Daughter on the Settee awake she had been there since 3am, as Gissi had woke her up wanting to play......yes you read right........because he would not stop bouncing against the bed, she got up so he would not wake me up, Giss just sat there looking at me with his Puppy eyes as if to say not me Mum The Vet was very confused, as she still could not believe how he had recovered she asked me what I had done, I told her as well I just cuddled him, talked to him gently and nothing else, she said well something has brought him back, she told me that when it comes to Gissi she will never give up on him again and predict that he is not going to make it, the Nurse Vet and Receptionist give a hug They have given him another 2 Injections and he has to be on Antibiotics for 5 Days and see how he goes, the Vet told me Gissi is a Miracle Dog, she told me that they where not expecting to see him alive this morning ................ well he is It is thanks to all my and Gissi's Friends out there that the little Man made it through Thank you all for the encouraging words the love you have all sent to us and for keeping me strong There was 4 of us sitting here crying yesterday out of happiness because the little Fellow was still here with us Thank you all for everything you are all the best and I love you loads and so does Gissi

You know Gabs... I saw the myLot notification that you had started a discussion & I immediately began to cry just knowing it was the dreaded discussion that we no longer had our little guy with us. When I finally got control of myself enough to come to the discussion, I cried twice as hard!!! I have often wondered if he wasn't older than you thought & when the vet confirmed she felt the same it made me very sad. I believe that prayer is better than pills & love can conquer ALL!!! Your Little Man has just proven me correct!!! ALL the prayers he received here has lifted him up. With that lift, your love brought him back!!!! Please give Gissi a BIG hug & kiss from Auntie M & tell him that I love him!!! Ask your vet about a liquid vitamin called "Hi-Vite" It's an iron & vitamin enhanced liquid. It's NOT cheap, but you don't give them much at a time. When I could see my cat getting low, I'd give her a dropper full first thing in the morning & she would be up & eating within the hour. Over the next few days I'd still give her a dropper full. I could tell a big difference when she was taking the vitamins & when she wasn't Iron is good for our blood, so I would assume it's good for our furbabies blood too!!! Of course, as spunky as Gissi is, you might not be able to keep up with him after taking it!!! I don't know that this stuff will help Gissi, but I just searched & found a site that sells this direct for a good bit cheaper... http://www.healthypets.com/hivitedrops.html It says to give a 1/2 dropper twice a day. Well, my little girl hated to take this stuff & she was too smart for me to hide it in her food, so I'd give her a dropper full once a day & just got it out of the way. From 15 to 21 years old, I swear that & my love is ALL that kept her here with me for those 6 years. Around 15 years old, her vet told me to just accept that her body was wearing out & it eventually did, but I had 6 years of love & companionship the vet had told me to forget about. I sure am GLAD I didn't listen to her!!! I will warn you that the Hi-Vite stinks to high Heaven, but it's worth it if it works!!!!

Told you sweetie Gissi is a fighter, he's made of strong stuff, and animals instinctly know when they are loved, wanted and needed and they have a second strength in them, they seem to defeat all odds and have the will to survive, Gissi knows you need him and he won't abandon you, hey he's onto a good thing ;0) Besides all the love, prayers, and support he's had from his fan club, well he wouldn't want to disappoint them now would he? WTG Gissi, hurry up and get 100% better so we can go out, look the better weather is coming and the nights are getting lighter, we've got mischief to make dear friend. Hugs to you both xxxx

I have just told Spunky the good news and she is now chasing her tail and actually barking! Spunky never barks unless she's excited about something important. So tell Gissi his cousin in Canada is literally over the moon for him!

Well he is getting up there so you can't expect puppy energy all the time. My neighbors dog who is already past his longevity age every once in a while will do this little hop and skip like when he was a puppy; it's precious..

Hi Gabs & Gissi! I can't tell you how absolutely thrilled I am to read this post!!! I can also tell you now how scared I was to check my email because last night I prayed, cryed and thought about the possibility...but it didn't happen because Gissi is the most wonderful, special and strongest dog in the world! He is "all of our little Miracle Boy"! He knows how much he is loved by so many and especially his Mum! I am so happy that all our prayers were answered! You take care of "Our Little Man"-he has lots more livin' to do!!! God Bless you my little Love Gissi!!! Sending more Love, Prayers, and Hugs, Les, Star & Luna

Gabs, that's wonderful news. It must have been the power of prayer, hundreds of best wishes and a lot of love. Let's hope Gissi continues to recover. Heck, he may be a Papa soon, so he has to stick around. Keep us up to date on his recovery. Give Gissi, the Miracle dog, a hug from me too. With all the hugs he's going to get, he should be running in no time, if nothing else, to get away from all the mushy hugging. :D

Hi Gabs, I know the pain you are going through just now, and hope and pray that Gissi recovers properly. It is really awful when your dog is ill. Lets hope he recovers enough to continue to give you joy for a long time to come. Take care and look after yourself as well.

I'm so thrilled he is better. My computer has crashed so I just now read about all the trouble he has had this month. I'm going to continue to pray for him. I certainly don't want you to lose Gissi. After losing Sherlock a week ago last night, I can't fathom little Gissi going too.

Oh my gosh. that is so amazing. How old is your Gissi? My dog was 11 years old an dhis back legs kept going out over the years. He finally got to where both fo them went out on him. I felt so sorry for him so we decided to put him to rest last year. I am so happy for you and your Gissi though. We now have a new dog and he is a little over a year old now.

Hi Steph this is what we do not know for sure as he is a Rescue Dog But they keep deciding on different ages I personally think Gissi is about 11 but not sure his Life Spann is 16 + His Leg is ok now I knew it was not that as it does not happen overnight, my Lab Max that I used to have it bit by bit at 13 years old he developed Cancer and we had to let him go I treasure every moment I have with the little Fellow he is so special

Hi gabs, That is fabulous news! It just goes to show what love can do. Little Gissi is indeed a miracle dog and his time has not come to leave you yet. I'm very happy for both of you because you really do need each other. Gissi will not leave until his work here is done - than you must let him go and know that everything is as it should be. You may have Gissi with you for a long time yet. I certainly hope so. Blessings.

Hiya gabs, What wonderful news gabs. I knew that little fella had it in him. I think I said yesterday something like that. So glad he has made it I really am. Hope he recovers more and more beautifully written Report you´ve written about him Gabs. I am pretty sure that the Vet must be puzzled as to why he is still here wagging his tail. It´s because he´s Gissi and there is no other quite like him. What a superb little wonderful Dog such a fighting spirit. Glad you can now relax and get over all the "nerves" that you have been through too. Hugs to the two of you you deserve it. xxx
