MyLot tell us:
"The DRS (Duiscussion Rating System) is factored into our proprietary earnings algorithm, so this will help us properly reward valuable contributions to the myLot community"
http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx
Those Lotters who have seen their reputation take a drop from a hihger level have then also seen the difference in their earnings too - at any level and not just at 8.
Of course if your contributions are of low quality then they will earn nothing, regardless of what reputation you have.

That is motivation to me too. But to be fair, we should continue with the same diligence regardless of rating, so that the newer lotters know everyone is on equal enthusiasm here.

" We are all paid for quality participation no matter in which level we are in."
True but if we post quality with a low star we will earn less than we would for the same identical post with a higher star,
Oh I agre tiffnkeat that no matter how many posts we have or how many years we have been here, our activity remains here forever so it should be worthwhile.
I am more enthusiastic as each day passes even though I have been here almost 4 years!

First to thanks all of you to respond and if there is no effect of money by stars so why mylot reward us with these star because when i joined mylot i saw many members with stars so i think that maybe they earn more from here and i also noticed that when i am inactive here for 2 days, my reputation becomes low, i have 7 at last week but now i am on 6 bacause i was inactive these day so i earn none from here and my satr becomes 7 to 6.
