This morning,I'm on my way to a grocery store when i saw a man wearing a shirt with facebook logo but below the logo, the word written is Faithbook instead of Facebook. What does the maker of this shirt wants to imply to us? we all know that million people around the world is already addicted with facebook.they are more faithful with the site rather than reading book of God.am i right?i am a member of facebook but not as addicted as other members. what about you,do you still have time in reading the faithbook or your busy in browsing your facebook?

As it stands, the teeshirt could be saying whatever it suggests to the person reading it. It might, for example, suggest that the person wearing it has a speech impediment (a lisp) or it might be taken to mean that the person sets some store by the information they get from Facebook or that they think that Facebook is faith-oriented (or biased). Clearly, you saw the tee-shirt and it suggested to you what might be important (but might not be important or the first thing that comes to mind for anyone else). 'Faith' means a great deal more than just faith in God or adherence to a particular "faith" or religion ... but many people seem to forget this!

This is a very good topic, friend. I am not addicted to facebook, that's for sure. I read the Bible everyday and I study it and ask God for guidance whenever I do. I want to learn what God wants us to do everyday. God is with us always and He will guide us for as long as we seek His guidance. Let's open our hearts to Him.

first time to hear about Faithbook. it would be lovely to take a peek. i dont see anything wrong with it though. each to his own perspective and opinion. there will be a problem if the whole thing is patterned according to the famous Facebook.

There are a lot of different things that are called faithbooking. That said, I think that what the designer of the t-shirt that you are talking about is implying that there are way too many people today that are putting their faith aside in favor of spending way too much time on facebook. In other words, I would take it to mean that people need to go back to a simpler time of spending more time in our lives with the book of our faith.

The designer of that shirt probably wants to remind us to read the Bible everyday. Even one chapter a day will do. For me, I see to it that I read the bible while I am in my way to the office. There should be many print of the shirt. If you happen to figure out where the shirt is bought, kindly tell me. Hehehe.

I am always online on Facebook, but that does not mean I am addicted to it because it is actually minimized and am doing other stuff. Then, when I hear the "chat tone", it is a sign that I have a message. I only maximize the window when I have to check who made comments on my status. I also maximize it when I need to rest my mind from thinking, then play Cityville. On the other hand, I have not read my Bible for a long time. But a friend of mine who is a Pastor, recommended me to download e-sword bible, so that I can read the bible verses even when I am on the net or infront of my computer. Besides, am attending Sunday church service, but that is not enough. Last Sunday, January 30 I started to attend a church service not just for the sake of attending. I began to do unusual things and learn to grow closer to God. Despite being in rough and tough times last year, I can say my faith now has grown and realized to prioritize. Now, my date with the Lord isn't just on Sundays, I also scheduled myself to date with Him on Wednesdays. Since I began that dating with the Lord, I have less time for Facebook. I use FB leaving my status about my date with the Lord. I felt good.

lots of t shirts that can be found at Christian book stores are often a play on words such as this.

Not me. I only go to Facebook a couple of times a week to see if my kids posted any new pictures or if my sister in law is doing okay. I don't have a tone of friends there and I don't play any of their games. I'm too busy with real life to spend a lot of time there. I just looked up Faithbook and it is a Christian community online. I guess it's their answer to the "addictive" Facebook!

Ya i do have a facebook account and i log in once in a day to see any new notifications and messages but i am not addicted to it.It is the best way with the help of which i can keep myself in touch with my cousins and relatives from other part of the world. But it does not hinder my work or the things which i do in my routine life.I am planning to read history from the beginning because it was the subject which i hated reading during my school days but now i feel that i should read and learn from it.

Hi! i am not a very religious person and i don't read the bible often but i am not addicted to facebook. I only open my account when some of my friends tell me that they have new pictures or new messages. On the average i brows my facebook account about twice a week only. With regards my faithbook, i try very hard to have time reading it and contemplating/praying at the same time. For me the best time to read it is in the morning before i start my work in the office, though i forget to do it everyday.

Hi rberon, If nothing more, maybe this tee was designed for those who believe in facebook and are more faithful to it than anything else. For me, I have my own definitions for both God and Religion and follow them... I did have a FB account but I found it more confusing than anything else... so I stopped logging into it and getting any daily dose. For me, it can be MyLot vs. Faithbook but as you can see both just dont rhyme... So I have time for reading too

I must admit that I have lost my zest for facebook. I do get all my alerts via my blackberry also. I do have several religious and inspirational alerts that come through daily. I do take time to read them as I for me find them uplifting. Sometimes it is a bit weird as my phone alerts me with one of them at odd times almost as if life knew I needed it right at the precise moment. I do not browse facebook as frequently as I use to for over a year now. As the postings and silliness sometimes I find a bit boring. I spend a great deal of time with my faith, much more then anything else I do with my life.
