Why do the rich people or millionaires who commit crimes walk away free without charge despite how bad they have been?
Why do ceos who commmit crimes get a get out of jail free card when they pass money to buy their freedom despite having committing crimes..
Will there ever be justice in our land?

We just can't tell. It seems that most of the living has a price. It is a sad reality. It maybe this or many are just afraid to face these giants. It is a shame what greed can do. Why just can't we be satisfied of what we have? Soon things will come to a close. Nothing will remain as a possession.

I don't know that things will ever change on this earth.
The powerful and rich trample on the poor and get away with their crimes..
IT's the way of this world

I agree with you.that situation is observed and practice here in our country.
they buy their own freedom.which is really unfair to the victims.equal treatment
should be given whether you are rich or poor.i have also notice that if the
victim is poor, most of them don't get any justice.they can't do something
because they don't have money.

I agree..money..even if the crime is so unfair.
Something about the smell of hundred dollars bills in a big pile
causes some judges to become deaf to the victim's cry
even the one who is suppose to take the part of the victim
will find reason not to if enough green is shown by the opposing party
but not everywhere..only in corrupt cities and states

it's because they have a lot of connections and people are afraid to file lawsuits against them.
they may walk free on this earth which is only temporary. but they will also pay when judgement comes on them after this life... and that is eternal. so don't feel bad if they can get away here... they will surely pay their dues later.

I guess this problem is worldwide but mostly are happening in third world countries if I may say.If rich and influential people committed a crime, it will be no contest if their opponent are poor people. They can either give money to the plaintiff in return for no case or continue the case but will take longer time if ever they achieved justice. In most instances money really speaks and can do miracles.

Not only millionaires, but even some middle class professionals! They can because they got money and connections. You can buy a court decision, or keys out of jail.

The world we live in is a very unfair world, where a man that steals a piece of bread to survive goes to the jail, while there are lots of corrupt politicians walking free in the streets.
I know we should change this situation, build a better society, a good place where the future generations can live. We don't want our sons to live in a place like the one we live now.
Let's try to change our minds and our ways of living, so that we can influence other people and make a better place to live in.

Hi Littlefranciscan, those rich people and millionaires are too smart to get caught red handed.
Most of the times, they give orders so vaguely, yet their people understand the orders and end up doing bad things.
Their people go to jail, but nobody can prove that the millionaires want things done this way.
The rich people always can hire the best lawyer so that the lawyer can twist their words to mean different things.
In the end, the crime does not seem so serious.
They just pay a few thousand dollars in fine, and then walk free.

Hi little franciscan: Unfortunetly, sometimes judges are not impartial. Money can buy decitions. It's too sad because we'd like to trust on the system but sometimes the power of corruption is higher than the institutions and justice. That's not ok but that's how the world work. I hope we continue working to make things better but corruption will exist until the end of the world.

According to the law in my country, paying fine is often considered a substitute punishment. I think some other countries maintain the same legal tradition. As long as such a system exists people will walk away freely even after committing crimes. A person who can commit crimes can also have someone outside who will pay for his freedom. Even if it's a non-bailable warrant this man can hire bad guys to intimidate the witnesses. Today money has become the most important thing to us. We have a fixed idea that everything can be bought with money. This gives rise to another idea that we can sell anything and get money in return. What do we sell? We sell our conscience, our honesty. From the money we want to buy pleasure in our life, but ultimately fail to get it. Rich people can walk free because they can buy the conscience of people like us. As long as even one of us stays dishonest, we will fail to stop these people.

Why? Because they have money to get the best lawyers to defend them and get their butts out of jail.
Even if all evidences are pointing towards them, their lawyers always finds a way. Maybe it be a loop hole in interpreting the law or technicalities with the evidence gathering. They will find a way, that's what they are being paid for.
Look at the case of OJ Simpson, it seems evidences were all pointing to him as the suspect in the killing of his wife and her friend. But because there was reasonable doubt that the DNA evidence was mishandled. So he was acquitted.

It's all about money. Maybe not all millionaires but people who have the money. Nowadays, money can buy everything. People become blind because of money. Even police (I'm not saying all of them) can be bought with money. That's why justice is hard to find nowadays.

unfortunatley its always the same those with mega money avaiulable to use seem to be able to do anything including buying their way out of any sentences for crime they may recieve, you would like to think that this isnt the case in this day and age afterall crime is crime but so many people just see the pound signs rather than whats right.
