Fabulous prizes! Cash Money! Have you ever been the recipient of a great (or even not so great) prize through a contest, competition or sweepstakes? Share with us what you won and how you won it! How excited were you when you found out you won?
I have "won" or earned small prizes before through various online sites, but just recently (yesterday) i finally received the best on of all (at least so far!) I recently participated in a contest/game through a well known cigarette company, and yesterday the UPS man showed up at my door with my prize, a samsung netbook computer! I was so excited, i had been waiting and waiting for it to show up, even though when i chose my prize back in December they told me it could be up to four months before they shipped (a long time i know, but you can't complain when you win something for free, right?) I am so happy with my gift (and impressed by how awesome it is)that i just had to share my excitement with people.
So, i ask you, share with us. What kind of prizes have you won? Were you excited to receive it?

glad you like what you received.
I have always bought something for myself or house with money I win.
LIke my kitchen stove got from winning from gambling so is ithe desk I have my puter on bught with gambling money won.
Also clothes that i wanted lolololol

money is always an unexpected surprise! particularly when it comes at a time when you can really use it! Though at the same time, i must admit, winning an actual prize as opposed to the money has its perks for me, as if i win money, it will usually get spent on bills or other necessities. But when i win an item, like my neyt book, it has the added bonus of being something i wanted and can use, but that i never would have bought for myself, even if i had won the money!

I have only won something one time online. I take surveys online and one of my survey sites I am joined with, held a monthly drawing for active memebers of their site. they drew my name and I won $100.00. I was so suprised to win and I was very happy to receive it.

That is awesome! I do a lot of surveys online as well, and the most i ever get is the couple dollars pittance that some sites pay....well, and i guess i had a couple that i qualified to do more "in depth" participation on, where i then got coupons for free hair color or free food products.

I won a cartridge for my cricut...with the pens...the cartridges are very expensive and I was amazed that I won! I filled out a survey for them and one day an email came that it had been shipped! It's one of my favorite cartridges too! Congrats on the notebook!

That is awesome jillhill! It's always cool when the item is something you would really use but is really expensive or out of one's budget. I have heard those are really nice. Thanks for the congrats and thanks for responding.

Yes, I really want to thank God for all this blessings!
I begin to count my blessings when I won a mountain bike
and hotel stay at one of the best hotel in town at that
time which was years ago in a slogan/suggestion contest
by a well known hypermarket. It is my first taste of
winning a grand prize which I least expect it. I appeared
in the major newspapers and my suggestions was also
printed out. I felt really appreciated. With this awesome
prize which I can share with my family make it more valuable!
From then on, I try to join more contests. I won 2 trips to
Hong Kong, 1 trip to Shanghai (China), 1 trip to New York,
1 trip to Vienna (Austria), 1 trip to London and many more.
The latest that I won was a 32" LCD television. I am so happy
because as a full time housewife with no active income, this
blessings enable me to live life to the fullest. Believe and
our dreams will come true. Hope more blessings coming our ways.

Wow! you have sure been one lucky woman! All those trips, that sounds like so much fun!! Congrats on the tv as well! This was only my first taste of a significant win, but i hope to have more in the future!!
