and i should have asked the experts here on how everything works before i started posting a discussion. oh, i did not realize that.
as far as my observation is concern, newbies arrived at the mylot lobby with their mylot baggage waiting for the residents to come and fetch them.
but honestly, i did not start posting without reading the FAQs which the email notification let us.
do you think reading the FAQs before anything else could be more convincing?

hi zills all newbies who take the small amount of time it takes to read the mylot information will do ten times better here in mylot as they
know all about mylotting and can dodge making discussons that break mylot rules. we older ones love to help and love to see newcomers doing well
at mylotting and we do offer to help but its even better if you read the information for yourself first then if you do not understand why not private message one of your older friends here?To read the info yourself you dodge the possibility that one of us has got the info you ask for all wrong. so by reading it for yourself you get it at the horse's mouth so to speak.

It is good that you bring up the idea of asking questions in a private message. Then the question gets one answer. Also the person who needs to learn something will not have a discussion deleted because it is information that is already available. I am always impressed when new users have read the faq section and the guidelines.

Posting in an interest is to your advantage if you have no friends yet. Once you have friends if they have notifications turned on they will find you. Posting in an interest will introduce you to more people. Yes, it is important to read the faq and to read the guidelines. If you still make mistakes, experienced users will probably let you know, but hopefully you will not go too far astray.

Reading the rules help a lot. Besides there are mylotters like msdianait who should have a special award for the pains she takes helping out. Another important help is our own experience. For me it was particulary helpful to answer a lot of posters before starting one. I still tend to answer a lot more than what I start.
WELCOME!!!

I will hlep new users whenever possible, but on the same hand, they should be willing to take the time to read the faq's and guidelines before they even start posting. In them is information that they need to be here, and it would be benefit them to read them so they don't have to ask how mylot works in here. I help knowing full well that the discussion will be deleted. I feel it is our responsibility to help anyone out that needs it, whether we earn for our efforts or we don't. I do wish though that newbies would read, to avoid getting discussions deleted, as it seems they are deleted everyday. I will continue to help users even though it means losing earnings. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Hi zills, I agree to go with the FAQ first. In my first day here I didn't start a discussion right away. The first thing I did was reading other's discussions and then I started to give respond to some of them. At first mylot didn't send me any notification emails, so I try to figure out how to do this and that by reading FAQs and discussions.

I think you will get more readers if you post your discussions using the mylot interests especially when you first begin with no friends.
I'm not a reading person, I hate reading things... I don't normally read the FAQs in any site that I join unless it is like something big so I need to be careful about.
Hope you have fun with mylot!

Of course knowing what to do or not is a lot more better before starting anything. I read FQ too but sometimes it just slipped from my mind.. Mistakes are done unintentionally and I think newbies as we are before, should always feel the welcome and the benefits of forgiveness from faults but of course for only a period of time when he's no longer a newbie!

When i was new here at mylot i first read all those stuff about mylot including FAQ. At least, before i started posting, i already know the rules, the do's and don'ts. Although, because you cannot absorb what you have read that much at once , i would sometimes be notified of this and that which i found to be of help in going around here at Mylot.
