Where's a good place here?

If a traveler approached you by knocking on your door and said "Hello, I'm traveling your specific city/town/village. Will you tell me where a good place is, to go? Only in this city. Anything interesting or something that represents this place?" Where would you take them? And why is that place so interesting enough to introduce?

If a traveler knocked on my door I probably wouldn't answer it. I don't answer my door to just anyone. If someone asked me where were the good places to go here I would tell them of the capitol being refurbished, some of the churches that are beautiful, some beautiful parks and athletes complexes, concerts, schools. My grandson's school was just refurbished and is a lovely landmark. I am very proud of my home town. I would probably also tell people about our rose garden where many have their weddings. And the train depot which a very nice example of local architecture.

If a traveler knocked on my door I would suggest he or she took a walk on Weston super Mare Pier. Then he or she would see stunning views of the coast and the town. Just across the water is Wales and two off shore islands can be seen. I would suggest he or she goes to a hillside in the village of Uphill because it is very picturesque. I would tell him or her that the architecture of the library is impressive. It might be exciting for the traveler to go to Weston super Mare Museum to find out the area's history. I think he or she would learn about the landscape and the history so he or she would find that interesting.

That would be a great suggestion! A scenic view and a history lesson. That trip would be totally worth it.

Well, since I live in Austin Texas, there are LOTS of FABULOUS places to go. There's loads history, there's a presidential library (LBJ), there's the 6th street, live music scene. There are TONS of stuff to do in Austin, from going to the UT Tower (where the first mass shootings took place) to the O Henry museum. There's the French Legation from when Texas was a nation to the largest urban bat colony (that ones only good in the summer tho).

Maybe the Old Town or one of the gold rush historic sites such as Sutter's fort...

I would say Illinois as we certainly have a wide variety of wonderful places to visit, enjoy and have fun as we truly have so many varieties. From Museums, Zoos, Theaters, Theme Parks, it really is endless here.

Hi lore, Definitely I would accompany the person on my way to the sunny and sandy beaches in our town. It is cool to be lying around the shades and frolicking in the sparkling waters by day and having a date by night, especially in the moonlight. For lack of a date, freshly caught and broiled milkfish with a shot of rum cola would make good company, day or night.
