here in Melbourne there is a street called Little Bourke street, it is known as China Town, every year they celebrate the Chinese New Year and they always have a huge Chinese dragon, it was once said to be the biggest Chinese dragon in the world.

When I first came here they would let off fireworks every night from about six o clock until about 2 am Then they would let them off for about thirty six hours straight from new years eve until the day after
It has improved a lot since then. Now they only let them off for about five minutes from about 6 p.m. until ten p.m. I think it was because they were setting too many buildings on fire and being burned to the ground
It has impoved a lot in the last few years

I haven't but I would love to. I myself am part Chinese so I would love to visit it if I get the chance. It is festive where I live but compare to in china it is probably nothing.

I have been in Taiwan for it, so not China, but close to it. I hear Chinese New Year is absolutely crazy. Everyone is traveling home and going places is impossible. I actually had a friend fly to Hong Kong and try to go China, and couldn't find a single train ticket.
