Do you not put any butter on bread because butter is fat? I think butter just goes so good with bread, it feels like missing something if eating bread without butter. I know it is not good for us if eating too much butter but... can't help it What do you think?
Do you cook with butter? I eat bread with butter, I don't cook with butter though, I mostly use vegetable oil or olive oil to cook, just enough to not let the food stick to the pan.
Which brand of the butter taste best?

oh you totally got me there. I hardly eat any butter on my bread anymore. I'll just put some sausage on it sometimes and cheese, but I do use butter sometimes for cooking too. It's too healthy to eat it often, but even if I do I'm fortunate enough I have more high metabolism, so I don't have to worry about fat as much.

Hi mermaidivy,
I am from North India and we have so much friend food that anyone would say wow how come your artiers are not clogged by the time you are 25. Most of our food is cooked in Ghee which is 100% fat and i like home made butter a lot. I like to eat butter not only on toast but also on various other indian foods like various kind of paranthas, with pav bhaji, or to put on makki ki roti. I like the taste of butter a lot.

making home made butter is not very difficult..only thing is you should first boil full fat milk and let it cool down. When it cools you would see thick layer of fat on top of milk. Take that out and churn it and you have butter. So more fat is in milk better it is. Buffalo milk is best for this. It is usually white in colour

I must agree on that - no butter on bread seems incomplete, hahaha!~I always love butter on bread. We hardly use butter to cook unless it's some particular dish like stir frying broccoli, carrots, cauliflower with a slice of cheese *mouth watering*

Eating more fat is not good. Intake of fat must be reduced as much as possible.

Although I am not, my family is huge on bread and butter, so yes we use butter. I can't imagine NOT using butter. I know it is not good for you, but that is about how far it has gone, just a thought.
It has not stopped me from using butter. Until my husband, I had never seen anyone put butter on hot muffins, but now it is the first thing I do when I get the muffins out of the oven. Butter is a must in my house !

I do not use real butter at all. I use I can't believe it's not butter and taste way better to me then butter. I have tried real butter and find it too greasy and tastes kind of weird to I simply use the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter brand, basically in place where most use butter.
Really and not so much because it is much more healthy but I really do not like the taste and texture of real butter at all.

I love butter so much but it is so fattening that I only use it on the odd occasion, I use a low fat olive spread instead, it tastes almost the same as butter but not quite as good but is just over half the fat.
I too use olive oil or sunflower oil to cook with.
I live in Scotland so not sure if you have these brands of butter but they are my favorite, Lurpack and Kerrygold. I think Lurpack is a Danish butter and Kerrygold is Irish, both really nice.

I like butter so it's hard for me to avoid having butter on my bread of pancakes. What I do is control the amount of butter that I use. Sometimes, there is also available butter which is low-fat so I buy that. My favorite brand of butter is Anchor. I use olive or vegetable oil, too, or those with so-called omega 3, which is said to be good for the heart.

I like butter, I eat a lot of it, and bread without butter jusr doesn`t has any taste, and if you add one boil egg and some black peper and solt mmmm just super. I`m do not worry about the fat, I don`t belive in this I just eat what I like ( lot of butter, mayones, fried food and - and) and I don`t have any problem ( I`m 47kg, and 167sm tall + I diliver 5 children in 6 years), but of course with everyone is different). My sister DO NOT eat ANY butter, oil, mayones, chicken, meat, she eat only fruits and vegetables and she have problem with her wight ( she doesn`t have any children). And for me best brand butter is LURPAK (if you have it in yout country. I cook with vegetable oil and butter ( for every food is different), olive oil only for salad ( for my husband ) my salad is with vegetable oil.

I do enjoy butter on my bread from time to time. I've had to cut back a bit because I'm on a diet. Occasionally, I will put honey on my bread instead of butter since it has fewer calories and no fat. Sometimes using both honey and butter is a great treat.

I dont use butter to cook but will put in on bread when eating pasta or something italian. I will only use butter when making eggs because i wont put vegetable or olive oil in the pan im using to make eggs as i dont think that would taste to good.
I only use butter on certain food and most of the time on starches like potatoes, rice and corn. I try not to use alot of it since it does have salt in it and i try alot to stay way from salt as much as possible.
I do like the taste of butter but i have to be careful on things.

I actually like eating bread with butter. But, I don't eat too much butter. Yes, it tastes good and enhances the flavor of the bread, but eating too much of it can be dangerous. We don't usually cook with butter also. When it comes to frying, we just use vegetable oil. We only use butter in cooking special recipes during special occasions.
