Facebook Friends!

when i was still in the philippines unemployed, classmates and friends doesnt care about me, not messaging me at all. but when i went abroad and came here in Canada, all friend requests popped up. Even friends i barely know are so nice and wanted me to be friends. why are some people like this??

Just probably, when you were still in the Philippines, facebook has not yet been that popular or if it was, many were not yet into it. I guess, at that time they were hooked to friendster yet and were having a second thought of switching to facebook that's why only a few connected you in their network. Unlike nowadays, almost everyone is hooked to facebook and friends, acquaintances, and even strangers are trying to connect with just anybody as it is the fads today.

could be possible but i had facebook since i left. and as far as i can remember these people doesnt talk to me much before i went abroad. then now chat pops up every 5mins LOL

So that they could brag that they have friends abroad, perhaps? Some people still make a big deal out of it, I mean having friends abroad. That's what I noticed.
