For years i have been wanting to create a book of poetry for sale. I finally achieved that and was able to publish my work and make it available through amazon. Now i would like to start driving traffic to that. Anybody got any good suggestions for it????

First of all, congratulations, Reed. I checked the link in your profile. It is Babbking Of A Delusional Mind, correct?
You definitely need to add a description to your book's title at amazon. There is nothing to indicate what the book is about, what genre it is, there is no information at all. I really doubt people will buy a book blindly without knowing something about it. I know it is an ebook, but do you have any images you can add?
If you belong to any social network sites (Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, etc.), take advantage by passing the news around. Amazon has an affiliate program, you might want to look into that.

Yeah my husband wrote the book and hes has made a photo it is just Amazon put it back in the review process when he changed the title's spelling to the correct title, When it comes back on he has a photo for it and a good description he has pre - written for it. Just got to wait till it is published again unless he can call them and get it back in draft phase......hmmmmm........

My best suggestion is to make it a free download least that way it could potentially spread through word of mouth then you put a price on the book. Other than that trying to drive traffic to a specific book could be quite difficult as you want people who are genuinely interested in a book.

So are you saying that direct traffic would be difficult because of the obscurity of my genre?

No not necessarily but trying to get someone to buy a particular product is difficult part the easy part is getting the traffic to your text. It's trying to convince someone to buy anything nowadays. How much are you charging for your text? It's essential your book starts cheap though then that way you can get a couple of good reviews which increase sales and your potential valuation of your text.

yes a little bit but each poem comes with a back story kinda showing you a little bit of the reality that may have inspired that particular piece of art. It is a small book, but I am hoping it will generate some response.

Name of the book is: "Babbling of a Delusional Mind". But I am putting a cover and a description to it now so you might wanna wait for a couple of days till it is done. I am gonna try to post the cover for that one and my new one i am working on now in my profile but Mylot is being stubborn
