Having a career on astronomy is one of my childhood dream but being in a third world country with no grants on such career, makes that dream near to impossible. So now that I'm working, I'm still considering about it. So tell me, do you know what it takes to be an astronaut? Or just having a career on astronomy? What are the courses you need to take? any MS? I read in an article once that in NASA they handpicked people to undergo their training. Any ideas?

It was my childhood dream too but it will never happened because I suck at Math, Astranauts are required to finish these Math oriented courses, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry,Bio Chemistry and more Physical Science. You should also try to learn Russian because you will communicate with the Russian space station. Most Astronauts from Nasa started as scientist and Engineer, In Russia I think started in Military. You also have to be athletic.

I like math and physics and other science-oriented subjects though my course is about computer, I'm an average when it comes to being athletic but suck at learning a new language.. :(
