I am the type that could easily notice imbalances in my system. That's why I didn't like wearing wristwatches. Because I could easily tell that one of my arms is heavier than the other because of the wristwatch.
Cellphones could be that too, luckily I carry two cellphones all the time.

Yeah, it's nice to always be aware of how much time you get to finish a task, so the wristwatch is a must have.

On January 13, 1946, Strip writer Gould, changed D!ck Tracy Comics forever with the introduction of the 2-Way Wrist Radio, having drawn inspiration from a visit to inventor Al Gross. This seminal communications device, worn as a wristwatch by Tracy and members of the police force, became one of the strip's most immediately recognizable icons, and can be thought of as a precursor to later technological developments, such as i pod phones.

I still wear my watch. I have a digital watch that has a timer on it, and I have to use that timer at work almost every day, so it is a lot harder for me to do parts of my job without it. Also, I do not always remember to charge my cell phone, so I never know when the battery is going to die on it, so I still keep my watch with me...

We have a common inclination to give up everything that's repetitive. Now we can have calenders, watches, stop watches, alarms all in one thing. I don't think even the most expensive wrist watch could give you this much. A long time ago people used to carry watches in their pockets. Even before that people used sundials to tell time. Do you see anyone use those things now? Today, watch has become more like an ornament. You can't get rid of the cellphone, but you can do away with the watch. So most people think it's completely unnecessary to carry the same thing twice. So they choose cellphones and give up the watch.

You have your point too but i am one of those who still prefers a wristwatch.
At least, I don't have to rummage into my bag just to look what time is it already. Besides, here in the Philippines, cellphones are more of a target for snatching rather than wristwatch.

Same with me. It's as if a part of me is missing when i go out without my wristwatch.

I still own a few but find that I have not worn one in years. I do rely on my cellphone for the time though. I suppose it is a matter of preference but I too notice many do not wear them much anymore.

I think this is a very common phenomenon that is to use cellphone instead of wristwatch to watching time.
For me, I still use wristwatch to guide me for the time.

yes, at least when you want to know what time is it, you would just have to raise your wrist to your eyes.
