Who is the man from Prentice's past in Criminal Minds, "Sense Memory" 2/9/11

In the episode "Sense Memory", aired 2/9/11, does anyone know about agent Emily Prentice's past? The episode opens with her looking in a file and gives the viewers a glance into her past. It looks like she should be fearful of someone from her past. We see her meeting with a gentleman saying the this man who we see in her memories is "under ground" and no one in their "group" is safe...At the end of episode, she arrives home after solving the case o find a box with a purple flower. As the episode concludes, you see Emily tending to flowers and it appears that she has a relationship with this man.
Does anyone know who he is? Who he was in her past? Is she going off the show? I have no clue what's going on. I'm looking for insight, or maybe just opinions if no insight from anyone is available.

Apparently Emily worked undercover before she started with the BAU. She was this man's girlfriend I think and helped gather evidence to get him arrested. He escaped prison and is out for revenge. A fellow agent from that mission contacted her and told her they were in danger. At the end of the last episode a female agent from that mission found her fiance was missing and then something happened to her. At the very end Emily got a text from an anonymous number that said something like See you soon and she kind of shrugged it off thinking it was the female agent who she told to come home. But it shows the bad guy getting off a plane and the united states flag in the background, so obviously he is in the states now and coming after her. I hadn't heard she was leaving the show. So I'm guessing if she is, or possibly leaving this is her way out. If she decided to stay then they'll just have her survive this guy coming after her. If she is leaving he'll get her.

Rumors have it that Paget Brewster is still negotiating Emily Prentiss' character, that is, she will appear only for limited episodes. They are now laying that basis for the transition and the European guy might be the next bad guy for Criminal Minds. Sad, but they cutting costs everywhere.

First, very sadly, she is leaving the show. This is part of the story line writing her off. He's apparently a criminal she helped bring in before she joined the BAU, and now he's escaped and he'll factor some way into how she leaves the show. They brought him up for the first time in the previous episode.
