The age of smartphones is upon us. As much as I tried to avoid it, I fell into the trap myself a few months ago (lol). My husband was ordering a new smarphone because his old phone crashed. Thankfully, he had a warranty on his it so our phone carrier sent a free replacement. He said I should use his old phone because it was so convenient having a smartphone that could do pretty much anything. I thought about it for a while, and of course, gave in. Our phone company ended up sending not only a brand new phone (instead of a refurbished one), but the phone they had just come out with—an even newer model than the phone my husband ordered! I can’t tell you where I’d be without my phone. I can’t even imagine a time when I didn’t have it! I have apps for just about everything. I love it! My phone is like a compact computer, almost like an extension of my brain (lol). I couldn’t possibly remember everything if I didn’t have my sidekick. The only thing missing is a myLot application for my phone! Don’t you agree? I’m sure myLot would be well enough advanced to come up with something like that. I have my phone with me day and night, and would love the possibility of having an app where I could post and respond to discussions any time, anywhere. Please share your thoughts on this!

Oh yes, myLot would come up with that if someone suggested it. But I wouldn't want it...lol. I have a hard time keeping up with my Facebook updates thanks to Facebook mobile App. Up until the New Year, I would be glued to my phone with all the updates. I got a new phone because the old one gave up on me (I used it for so many things that I'm not surprised). I'm not comfortable with the new touch screen phone that I got. And I'm consciously cutting down on using my phone for Facebook. So, I wouldn't take the myLot option if they came up with one.

That's probably a wise decision on your part! If there were a myLot app and I had it on my phone, I probably wouldn't ever get anything done. I would be so addicted and distracted. When I get home at night, I feel like if I'm near a computer I'm constantly on myLot. lol! I suppose there are advantages and disadvantages of bringing out an app like that, depending on what the user is able to do.

lol..yes. But I know friends who are able to juggle and manage everything very smoothly. Family, globe trotting,Facebook, etc. But of course, these friends have the kind of household help that I couldn't dream of...daily cooking and laundry do not fall under their daily agenda....ha ha ha.

I can't imagine having all that help! I don't have kids yet, of course, but I wouldn't know what to do with that much extra time! It would be nice having someone to cook for me every once in a while, but I enjoy cooking and doing things around the house that I wouldn't be able to pay someone to do all that for me, even if I had the extra time to myself. Most daily tasks manage to get done around the house anyway, so I guess we're doing ok - lol. MyLot is a distraction enough. Maybe I shouldn't have the ability to download on app onto my phone because I'd be tempted while at work!

Well, I do hope they'd have an app soon because I have tried posting in mylot using the web browser of my phone and it was just overly taxing! not to mention that it was a pain to scroll to a lot of places just to press submit! But anyhow, I don't think the satisfaction of using the pc keyboard and phone keyboard is the same. I would still prefer typing things with the pc keyboard anytime over the cellphones - regardless how updated they are!

Yeah, it would be fun to check it out too, though I would still prefer the real keyboard.

I have a tablet PC, which I like to use to read discussions and topics, but I prefer to use myLot on my mini laptop since it has a keyboard. I'm so much faster on the keyboard. I don't know if I'd be able to do the myLot app either, but it's certainly something neat to think about!

I have a mini keyboard on my phone, but I definitely agree with you that it's nothing compared to having a keyboard to type on. I also prefer a PC keyboard to a laptop or netbook even because the keys are still too small on those! And a screen on a phone for myLotting would be way too small. Oh well...if they come out with the app, I would definitely have to check it out either way!

That's an interesting concept. I don't think it would ever replace me using myLot on my computer but it would be nice to be able to respond to discussions on the fly wherever I was. I could do it now I guess but the screen is just so small and it is not that easy to maneuver around the screen as on a computer. I bet before too long they will come out with an app though. Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

I'm sure myLot will come up with something. Using the browser on the phone just isn't convenient. The screen definitely would be too small. However, if done just right, a myLot app could generate so much more traffic and earnings, in my opinion. I agree with you that the app would never replace sitting at a computer and typing discussions and responses, but just think of all the possibilities. Most things about a myLot app would be positive, even if the app was just to show users their stats like how many discussions they've posted and responded to. It could also tell them who responded to what and news feed like what is already on the home page (kind of like what Facebook has). That would be neat!

Personally, I'd love a myLot application on my smart phone. myLotting on the go would be pretty darn awesome, don't you think? More myLotting = more fun = more learning = more earning. Perfect!

I agree! I know myLot could come up with something amazing for the smartphone. I'm just curious as to what it'll be like and when it'll come out! I love your myLot "equation," by the way! A myLot app can only make the earning process easier and more convenient!

At first, I had to think about that because smartphones do have 3G, but if you have a strictly 3G phone, then you have Internet without all the apps. Am I right? I have a smartphone and don't know what I'd do without it. However, if you don't have one, 3G is definitely the next best thing! I think myLotting would be very difficult on a 3G phone because it's hard on a smartphone too. My phone has a keyboard, but it's nothing like a laptop or computer. I've never heard of Opera Mini, but that probably has to do with the 3G phones. I hope you're able to get a smartphone - they are the best!

The first I learned about myLot, I was looking for the mobile application version. You can post and response anytime and anywhere. The only challenge is how to present the user interface in a 2X3 inches display. Currently I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S and I have downloaded a Yahoo and Facebook applications but the thing is I find it's very hard to navigate the screens. I hope myLot can come up with a nice user interface.

Your suggestions would definitely be key to creating a successful myLot app. Who knows...they could've already been working on an app, but I have yet to see it! I'm very excited at the prospect of having something like that. That would be too cool. Thanks for your suggestions. I certainly hope myLot would take them into consideration when creating this app.

It would be great if I can have mylot application in my smartphone coz it's difficult to use the ordinary browser which is too small on my screen. I hope that mylot is a strong site and could generate funds for such application like ebay, facebook and twitter too. I would be the happiest if mylot would consider this, coz i have my phone with me 24/7, i even sleep with it hahaha.

Same here - if I don't have my phone with me, I'm completely lost! I don't know what I'd do without it. And then to have myLot right on there without having to use the browser would be amazing!
