Sadly, I cannot. I'm one of those people who didn't really graduate from using the balancers/trainers and I'm just the type who spent most of my childhood indoors. I'm planning to learn though, at least before I get too old for it.;p

Yep, I can ride a bike. I first learned back when I was a kid. I think I was about five when I first really learned to ride one without the training wheels though. Unfortunately I haven't been able to ride one this year and it's the first time in about three years I have not ridden my bike at all.

Biking for Fun - Enjoying the nature while biking
When I was younger and still single I knew how to bike. I learned it the hard way actually. It took me several falls and bruises before I learned to balance myself. And after learning I discovered the fun of knowing how to bike. But now that I am older and a mother, I don't have the time to bike anymore. I feel like I would have to study balancing myself again if I'd ride a bike. But my husband is the one really crazy about biking. He would go and travel long distances with his bike and that way he could enjoy nature while exercising at the same time.

Yes, I can, although I learned a little later than most kids I knew. I actually learned to ride a bike when I was 10. My dad did tried to teach me when I was 6, but I didn't feel comfortable with anyone trying to teach me...even my dad. I wanted to learn on my own. A few years later I decided to give it a shot. A friend of mine let me borrow her bike and she left me be...just the way I wanted it. It didn't take long. After a few tries (without falling) I was riding the bike like a old pro. Happy mylotting!

Don't afraid!! Some of my friends learn it last year. I used ride a bicycle to work, it is really healthy and environmental. First of all, you need to learn how to keep balance in the bicycle and then ride it in small distance. Just go some some places without too many people. I learn it within a week, Come on! U can do it!!

I can ride a bicycle. I learned when I was a kid. My dad started to teach me, but it was mainly my grandmother who taught me, because my parents went on holiday when I started to learn and it was my grandmother who was babysitting. Riding a bicycle is definitely something that I enjoy doing.

Yes, I can . I remember I learnt this on my own. I asked my mom's permission to go play in the park when I was around 8 or 9 years old I think. I took my biccycle with me becase I wanted to learn it, I put one foot on a pedal and use the other feet to pedal on the ground, all in sudden I just made it, it was easier than I thuoght it was gonna be.

Hi rivengodwind, I have learned riding the bicycle in an old fashioned way. I didn't use any balancers or anything like that, my elder cousin just balanced me for a while and then pushed me till i gained enough speed and then he just left me to control the cycle, i rode the cycle for a while and crashed to stop, lol. I have hurt myself quite many times trying to learn to ride a bicycle. I have run into ditches and what not, got many bruises. But that is how i learned it sooner, i just didn't want to crash or ride into someone. I hope you do your part soon, coz maybe later you could become too busy with your other responsibilities to learn how to ride a bicycle. All the best.

It has been quite a while since i was on a bicycle. it used to be my favorite mode of transportation. then i learned to drive a motor vehicle. i think i could still be a skilled bicycle rider today. It's something that you just don't forget.

I can't too.. well I can sometimes but when I do, I eventually lose balance after that. What I hate is I won't be able to ride motorcycles and such that needs balance. Maybe I'll not learn anymore. Or maybe I'll still try. Haha

It is not a big deal ,especially in the modern society where vehicles are available .I can ride a bicycle .In fact ,almost all of people around me can do it too because we have to learn it .Living in a developing country is not as comfortable as in developed ones .But i think riding bicyle pretty good .For one hand ,it can take me everywhere i want to be if the destination is not afar .For the other hand ,i will be more healthy for it .

riding in a bicycle is so exciting and enjoyable. Because in every fall you make you will gain a lesson. Lesson that will somehow will make you a better person. Bicycle tell us that life is a journey, that no matter how difficult the road you take, the balance or the smoothness of your journey is in your hand.

Hi riven, Back in my high school days, I got ribbed by my friends after admitting that I can't ride a bicycle yet. And how I paid for it. They claimed that one cannot learn to ride it without getting a really big bruise, and how true it was. However after a lot of falls and one major collision with another cyclist, I learned to master the thing, on or off road. I have a mountain bike which I invested a lot of money but seldom used for I worked within walking distance from my home. I didn't forget how to ride the bicycle though, even if I don't ride it for long stretches at a time. Once your learn it, it is a lifelong skill that doesn't go away even if it is not used often. If you really want to learn the bike, do it very carefully. The warnings are true.
