Of course not. Money's just a tool. If people are acting in destructive ways, it's because their thought processes are irrational - full of hatred, or wanting to bend other people to their will. Nothing to do with money, which is just a medium of exchange. Look at those losers who flew those planes into the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon in 2001 - they obviously weren't motivated by money. The same goes for Jack the Ripper, the Unabomber or any number of other criminals you could name.

if you give something in return for someone's favor or item, would you consider that "something as the root of destruction? understand that money is just a tool, a standard of exchange. that's the reason that most people think it is the root of all evil, since (almost) all actions involve money. if we assume money to be the base cause of destruction, then i say it is also the base cause of prosperity. of charity. of progress. of camaraderie, and all other positive virtues that we could think of.

actually religion is the greatest cause of destruction in all societies both modern and ancient. think about all the wars, genocides and oppression that has been caused by religion. The crusades, the burning times, the holocaust (anti-semetism), all links back to religion. Even the current war in israel over the supposed holy land! then we've got terrorism, riots, revolts and rebellions, honour killings etc etc. On a smaller scale, religion also breeds hatred amongst communities by promoting racism, homophobia, sexism the list could go on. All in all money is not the root of all evil, religion is! Birdie -

I disagree that it is the money. I believe it is the INDIVIDUAL with the money. Money is a tangible thing to be had by people. I never understand why people make money evil. It cannot possibly be because it is not alive. The person with the money however can choose how he behaves or allows the possession of money to make him behave. Money is not nor will ever be the root of anything evil. It is the LOVE of money. What are you willing to do for money? How do you behave because you have money? What do you do with your money? It all points back to the beholder of the money... Money is a game made up by mankind. It cannot use itself. I cannot spend itself. I cannot make decisions. I cannot kill. It cannot steal. It cannot destroy. The people that use money do all the aforementioned. It's common sense really in my opinion.

Money is the root cause of destruction in earth same as money is the root cause of all evil. I think, in some other ways, it is agreeable but sometimes, it is not. Not all the time that money can cause war, destruction, trouble,riots, problems and etc. I think hatred makes trouble a lot. Well anyway, that's my opinion.

It's pretty obvious that money is the cost of destruction. Why else would people work in the army or build weapons of mass destruction? Not to mention poisoning our poor earth...No amount of money is worth all of that.
