A world-renown writer once said, "The pen is mightier than the sowrd." Has the pen really been a lot mightier than the sword?

Dr. Jose P. Rizal, the world-renowned writer who said that the pen is mightier than the sword, has proven his own saying with his own blood. He wrote novels that completely wounded and demoralized the Spanish regime in the Philippines resulting into countless revolts that led the Filipinos to fight for what is rightfully theirs. I believe in this saying because a sword can only make the physical body bleed and wounds heal with time but when a pen is used to crush an enemy's mindset, once the damage is done, there's no repair.

Yes. Just like people that yell think they are right because they can shout their opinion louder and louder. The passing of knowledge in my opinion is one of the greatest things in life and is truly the aftermath of imagination and expansion by someone in the hopes of triggering that in others. A sword is suggested to be mighty, but anything done forcefully just doesn't work.

Written words can cut deep into a person's psyche and soul, swords only cut flesh.

Yes I think it is true, it worked here in the Philippines when our national hero, Jose Rizal wrote two novels, it consists of how the Spaniards are treating the natives here.
