Definition : KISS
To touch or caress with the lips as an expression of affection, greeting, respect and amorousness.
Admit it!! At one point or another we have given and received kisses. And mr. Webster has given his definition of a "kiss" yet I am interested to know what is really behind a KISS and its meaning depending on WHERE and WHEN you give it and what does it mean for YOU personally or in different cultures and personal beliefs and opinions.
For instance, in some cultures a kiss can be a sign of greeting and nothing else even if it is on the lips! For some, a kiss on the hand is a sign of greeting.
A stolen kiss can either be a pleasant surprise when the recipient kisses back or an ugly surprise when the recipient of the stolen kiss slaps the "giver" of the stolen kiss back. Well anyway...
Personally, a kiss for me is like an engagement ring. It is given whole-heartedly and with a sweet intent for me to show a part of my love.
How about you? I am interested to know no matter how "different" your views are let's hear it!!

By its nature, the kiss can express a range of feelings. More than a touch of the lips, when it is born of love, the kiss becomes a touch of soul. In place and right time, valences gets magical kiss. A kiss came from my heart takes you to where the fairy, you translate into another world. You have never lived during a kiss you feel like growing wings to get to the clouds, and at the end you realize with stupefaction that you returned to the place where you started?
It can be called a real kiss. And depending on its intensity, and is transmitted by kissing each other in a more or less, a part of passion, tenderness, affection, desire, exuberance that you're covered.

Didi i must say that i agree with what you have said. it seems like words of wisdom to me. I think the touch of the soul quote came from the french. By the way, is it okay for me to ask permission to include what you have said in a blog? or do you have the link to where you got this inspiration? Thank you.

Hello cream97 and thank you so much for that comment. Awwww....that's so sweet. In my culture kiss can be just a mere greeting. It's hard for us to get a kiss from where I am that means "love". Coz these days, when girls get kissed by guys it can only mean either a casual greeting or if not "lust". Sad...

I envy you that you say you have kissed a lot before. In my case, to be frank I have kissed a lot only as part of my cultural greeting but then only a few to those i have feeling for. but you are right. the kisses that we meant from the heart will always be remembered.

There's someone that I want to kiss. And though he's not my boyfriend...yet...but then I really do miss him a lot and the kiss we shared was one that lovers usually share when on to each other. I understand how you are perfectly feeling dear friend. But then my only fear that he's american. I wonder if they interpret the same things as I do.

Nice, to take part in a subject like kiss is also sweet, because to me kiss is a message of love.. only love.. in any form whatever may it be. It may be out of affection, may be out of love . I am a kissed person and I know the test of it. Wonderful. But behind it there is a chemistry of science, some reaction. But what energy yields there, is enough to lit an electric bulb of low power.

Men kiss their wives, mothers kiss their children.there are thousands of reasons to give someone a kiss. it can be an expression of love or joy: it can be comforting or conciliatory.kissing is a sign that we 're not holding back.it's a peace-making gesture.probably one of the oldest social rituals in the world. to be totally accurate in our definition, a kiss comes about when lips touch something physical

i don't know but i like being kissed by a girl i mean its nice to know some one likes you just as much as you like them and in my culture a kiss to a hand is not usual but only happens when you respect that person a lot
