I am fixing pancakes with sausage links for dinner. No, it's not that nutritious, but it is good. I love the taste of syrup on hot pancakes in the evening. Not to mention it is a cheap dinner, and easy clean up. Not much to it.
Sometimes I fix eggs, sliced or chunk cut up potatoes, sausage link chunks, and I mix it together and pour a creamy sausage gravy over it all.
I don't have time in the mornings so why not enjoy it in the evenings ?

My dad has done this for years, and I do it myself at times. Two of my favorite meals are pancakes, eggs, and sausage or bacon; or grits, eggs, fried potatoes, sausage or bacon, and toast. It it almost 5 P.M. here, and I was actually just sitting here thinking about going into the kitchen and cooking some pancakes and eggs and sausage myself LOL

Well we just had our pancakes and sausage, and of course it was good !
I got it from my father. He use to fix the pancakes with thick smoked sausage once a week. I remember complaining all the time about it because I would say it was not normal, now look at me now lol.
Bacon is something I have made a special treat at my house. The 4 of us will eat a whole pack of bacon and it is pricey. I have literally split the bacon between the four plates so we don't try to get more than the person next to us..it's funny !

I ended up eating some left-over black-eyed peas, rice, and sausage that I needed to finish off and get out of my way in the refrigerator. It was pretty good, and I didn't have to cook it, which was another factor in my decision to eat it instead of cooking the breakfast stuff. All I had to do was spoon everything into a bowl and put it in the microwave it, which was good considering the fact that I didn't feel like cooking...

Well that doesn't sound bad either. It's been a long time since I have black eyed peas. It actually sound even better since it was already cooked and you didnt' have to do anything but heat up and eat lol. I will do anything to get out of cooking. It is just not one of my favorite things to do . Plus, it is a good way to clean out the fridge.

I hear ya...Denny's is so good. I don't think I have had their slam. We only have one and it is fixing to go out of business. For some strange reason it does not stay busy enough. The waffle houses here does the most business, which I go for their loaded hashbrowns

Hi. sunshine37. I have eaten breakfast food many times during dinner time. I know what you mean. Mornings can be a rush rush hour, so sometimes cooking breakfast in the evening is a great way to enjoy this meal. My husband has came home and he has cooked grits and eggs. Last week he did this. It was about 10 or 11pm at night when he said that he wanted to eat grits and eggs that late. He was very hungry.

My husband and I used to work the night shift together, so we would stop in at the huddle house around 1 or 2 in the morning and have a good old breakfast, although neither one of us is big on grits, just the eggs, bacon, pancakes and biscuits, and of course sausage.

oh yeah, I left the omelete out, but I can't make those well, so my husband makes it. Needless to say we don't' have it that often because of him having to make it haha. But goodness, when it does I LOVE it, we load it with cheese and ham.

I also cook breakfast items for dinner as well. I've tried hotdogs, ham and eggs, sometimes bacon, and sometimes even cereal or cornflakes. I haven't tried pancake though. The thought of a hot pancake with syrup and butter for dinner is really tempting, I think I should try one tonight

We had this maybe 3 or 4 times only. Sometimes my friends and I have this craving for something not so normal like pancakes and chicken and bacon. So what we do is rush to our favorite pancake place which is pancake house...hahaha...

We do this about once a week. We usually have a fried egg or two with it so there's more protein. I've never, ever, enjoyed pancakes for breakfast, and neither has most of my family. I don't know who ever said that kind of a meal was only a breakfast meal, we feel it's a good supper too! Yes, mornings are far too busy to prepare that kind of a breakfast, unless you're June Cleaver on Leave It To Beaver lol.

The fried eggs sound great, we usually do scrambled with cheese. You make a good point with the pancakes..who ever said it was just for breakfast, I mean it is nothing but bread and bread is something you can eat all the time, well with my family it is.
Find me a "June Cleaver" from Leave it to beaver, I would like to meet her lol. I am sure they are few and far between, if any.

Yes my boyfriend and I do it all many times. I figure as long as we crave and like it what difference does it make. I have been known to have last nights left over dinner for breakfast.

Your absolutely right, that craving is all that counts. Lord knows I get some odd cravings, haha. And, I love left over pizza for breakfast. It all goes down the same tube no matter what time of the day you eat.

That sounds good to me. I must agree I do sometimes too, meals do not limit to specifics so breakfast, dinner why not combine them?
