Alright so I go into work today and my boss starts talking to me about what his pastor was saying at church last Sunday. Apparently he had a service about Ezekiel 38 and 39 which is about the middle east and the midst of Armageddon. What do you think about the turmoil, especially lately, in the middle east? I am considering Egypt in this as well. Are we witnessing the stepping stones of Armageddon?

i firmly believe that we will not know the time, nor the hour. There have been many many 'signs' over the last two centuries, but most have passed, fallen out of public sight, become facts of life and not signs of impending doom. Some churches like to teach about the end times, others don't, all accept it will come one day, but our actions on earth probably won't stop it or speed it up. There is a lot of teaching in Christianity that gets much less headline space, equally there are many atrocities in the world that the news doesn't pick up on.
If you'll forgive the preach; Most of christian teaching tells us how to live today, i would ask what his pastor taught him about that, and is he doing it, for that is the greatest challenge and the thing most likely to change the world.
