Some may suggest to spend with your single friends or with your family, but how about if you spend it alone? How can you enjoy it?

Being a single is doesn't really matter at all. That is not a big deal if you are not thinking of someone just yourself. right?. You don't have to waste time to that valentines and if you feel sad. Think that it is only a natural day? okay? LOL..
People does not look at you if you are alone in valentines just enjoy with yourself and act like nothing really special because you dont have that special someone.okay?
I hope it help..

Well actually I also don't mind if I'm single to being with, and I've been single for 3 years and still enjoying it. I cannot only understand other people who are single and still whining that being single sucks, I usually tell them that it doesn't matter if there's no one beside you, right? Anyways I'm happy of what I am today and I know I have my friends and family to support me always... :)

Do you have to? I am single too and even if I weren't I don't know how Valentine's day would boost my love for someone. To me every single day is special. Every day I achieve one thing or the other. Today I have started reading the Autobiography of M.K.Gandhi, a man who means a lot to me. I was delighted at the frankness by which he narrated every incident that he considered worth mentioning. Indeed, it's a great lesson for me. The day before yesterday I wrote and published a few things of my own. I consider that as an accomplishment as well. Every day I advance a step towards perfection. Isn't it something? I don't think it should matter whether you are single or not. Perfection is a journey and can be celebrated every single day of your life.

I agree with a lot of what you have to say. However, I must take exception to the idea of trying to get closer to perfection each day. I am having a problem with the concept as it does not promote the idea of unconditional love for oneself. If we strive to be perfect, I think we are liable to have difficulties if something goes wrong.
Instead of trying to be perfect, I hope to do the best I can each day. Through doing this, I am able to accept that everything won't come out exactly as I wish. I think the result ends up being that I have the potential to be much, much happier.

Good question my dear newbie.
I wanna celebrate this valentines day grandly.
I wanna sleep more time before valentines day.
Then i wanna improve my glomour. And actually i have no girl friends. So i want to love my family. Especially i wanna love myself first. Because from the past many days i am not concentrating on myself. So this valentines day is only dedicated to me only.
And i have to eat more on that day(in planning...hahaha).
have a nice day.
god bless you friend.

Hello riukaoni and welcome to myLot.
Firstly consider Valentines day as any ordinary day, where as you love yourself regardless of your surroundings and all the celebratory occasions. So do what you like most and do it well.
If it means sitting and watching TV, so be it as it will be what you want to do. If it means going out for a walk and or making a great meal just for you. Once again, so as long as you find it restful all should be well.
Happy Valentines Day to you and welcome aboard.

That may be something sad if you just entertain the idea of a romantic relationship. I think that in general, Valentine's day is about love. You may just let people know that you care for them even as not a lover. You may even be with your friends whom you helped build the relationship they have with their loved ones.
As for me, if I had no one during that day to celebrate with, I'll just simply open my eyes to the beauty of loving. I will gladly appreciate on how people express their deep emotions to the one they treasure the most.
Just hang in there. Your part of the story is yet to come.

Yup i agree, well maybe others may think of my discussion a quite sad one. Anyways I'm single for 3 years and I love it and everyday of my life is wonderful, because I know that I have my family every time I open my eyes and friends who really supports me. I also know that God will have my story a beautiful one.
