What is your opinion of keep a friendship with your ex?

im total agree with keeping touch with ex. i got break up before a year but still im talking with her as a friend.and we dnt have any problem in our friendship and even we go on for movie and dinner and all those stuff. so i dont think it should be the reason for not talking to any person because you dont have those love feeling. but we can always be in touch by friendship relations.

If the relationship did not end that bad, then a friendship could be formed. This is especially in case the two have kids together. But, for me, I would prefer that one in the past be that - one in the past. And if possible, I'd never see ever again.

it all just depends what is your ex like as a friend. I am friends with my ex-husband and he is such a wonderful friend. In fact maybe someday I will date him again. that is when we're in the same town again. He's changed I think. I won't give him my heart again until I feel safe enough to do so. he isn't abusive. its just he's lied to me in the past and left me to move to a another state. he says he's changed and still loves me. but thats him talking on the phone or messenger or facebook not face to face to prove it. when we're in the same town again i will let him prove himself that he's changed. always be careful when making such huge decisions. friends with ex's can be a touchy matter to consider first.

Yes, I agree that not all relations end up bad. My two ex's that i loved before became my friends until now even they have already their own relationships now. We used to greet each others during special occasions,and make little conversations,and thats all. And ends with a smile.
