Do you think Philippines is a good place to travel?

I haven't yet been to the Philippines but it is one of the countries near to the top of my travel wish list. I think that the people there are very friendly. When I manage to go there I will hopefully fly into Cebu and do some island hopping plus snorkeling. I have heard about the Chocolate Hills on Bohol Island. The Philippines has lots of beautiful island and amazing beaches. Boracay is the most popular island for tourists to go to and it is meant to be stunning looking.

Of course, our country has a lot to offer not only beautiful places but also beautiful experience. I think those who put travel ban on us is just jealous of what we have. There's just worried that once the whole world would get a glimpse of the country, tourist would go here in flocks and forget about their places!

for me, i think the country is a good place to travel to... a lot of beaches, great seas, waves, and most of all great people... even in the provinces. There is really no "safe" place for all of us and news often exaggerate what they report so i will not trust in them too much that i would be scared to go to wherever i may want to go.

I just came from Ozamiz City lately and the Dolphin Island was a beauty for sea lovers.If you love mountains visit Mayon volcano, see tagaytay highlands or walk through the rice terraces of Banaue. Someday I would like to hike to Mt. Apo. When it come to beaches go to Pagudpud in the North. Or Boracay in Caticlan or down beaches of Palawan are the places you will miss if you don't visit them. Quiet places, you go to Dumaguete, Bohol, Cebu and what a lovely place to see. I love going back to these places again.

Philippines is a beautiful country. However, it is surprising to hear a lot of Filipinos not going around visiting these beautiful places around their own country because of economic reasons. Sadly, there are probably more who have seen other countries than the beauty of their own homeland, and oftentimes when they go abroad they go there to work and not for leisure. If the economy of our country continues to improve then we will see a lot of Filipino tourists who will tour around their own country, and then perhaps other countries not to work but to play and enjoy life.

If you are a nature lover or a beach bum, Philippines is a good place to travel. Also, if your are a foreigner its cheap to travel in this country. In the country side, life is kinda layed back and slow, so its a relaxing time you want, Philippines is a good place to travel.

Well Philippines has many good spots to show to the foreigners. Just look on the net and you can get lots of places to go #1 would be Boracay and then many others that would fancy many foreign tourist around. The only problem we have in our place is that sometimes we have this peace and order situation that destroys the image of our country. But overall, I still think that Philippines is still a nice destination for travellers.

We went to Philippines when I was like 5 years old. I just remember playing with the travelers and swimming in the Ocean, people dived to catch the seastar.

We are blessed to have such a beautiful country. There really are so many sights to see here that is at par with world-class scenic spots in other countries. We have world heritage sites here like the historic town at Vigan, the Rice Terraces of the Cordilleras, the Tubbataha Reef and Subterranean River in Palawan. So we Filipinos should take part in caring and preserving our naturally endowed country.

In my opinion, our country is still a good place to travel for a variety of reasons: 1. The Filipinos sense of hospitality, everywhere in the country would you see at least someone will greet and assist you, from warm welcome to your favorite places to go with. 2. Numerous white (and even black) sand beaches that are popular for local and foreign tourists alike (e.g. Pagudpud, Anawangin, Boracay, Nasugbu, Bohol), especially during the hotter months (March - May). 3. A lot of historical sites and churches, as a major influence during the Spanish occupation, each city, town or province has one. In City of Manila alone, there are lots of churches and historical sites that can be visited (e.g. Intramuros). 4. Diverse cultures that Filipinos have, you will be amazed that many still exist today especially on far-flung provinces in the North Luzon and Mindanao. 5. Variety of Filipino food, you will never run out of choices (unless you're still craving for Western-style ones available on the Metro and city/town centers). Good example for this is adobo, sinigang, longanisa,even balut which some provinces have their own unique version.
