First I like to inform you that Metallica is not a rock band. Metallica is a "METAL" band and it genre if thrash metal band which was been founded by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. There is a huge difference between Metal and Rock. You can't compare Metal with Rock.

Yes ofcourse Metallica is a metal band. The follower of Metallica is Iron Maiden who is also a heavy metal band. They are much more heavier than rock.

Metallica is just so huge! Even no fans know about them and must have heard their music at one point in life. I love their beat and their sounds. My personal favorite is frantic. Nevermind the lyrics but the sound gets to me totally.

I have been a follower for quite sometime and I firmly believe that their one of the best in the genre their in...Admittedly though I haven't heard anything about them as of late...It would be good if they can come up with another good album that is going to re-introduce them to the mainstream and be known to the younger generation of music enthusiast...=)

I think Metallica is an awesome band. They introduced their version of metal into world. Well, they are what they are and you can't change that because there are certain tracks of theirs I wouldn't wanna hear because it just sums up to a noise with a beat. I mean, there are times when I've just had enough that I'd rather listen to Dishwalla or Third Eye Blind afterwards. They're just too hardcore for me, I guess.
