I am sure most of us have heard of what has been happening in Egypt. We have just witnessed history in the making, and another Biblical prophecy has been fulfilled right before our eyes. For those of you who may be wondering what I am talking about, here is the verse straight from the Bible...
Isaiah 19: 1-4
1 The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it. 2 And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom. 3 And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards. 4 And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.
It is pretty obvious that what has just happened in Egypt has pretty much fulfilled this prophecy word-for-word. The muslim brotherhood is about to take over in Egypt, and I am pretty sure that the fierce king referred to in the verse is talking about the brotherhood...
What do you think?

I think you very well may have hit the nail right on the head. I brought up the Muslim Brotherhood being behind this over in politics and was shot down.

If you notice the general consensus in the media, in places like mylot, and when talking to people in general about all the crap that muslims cause in the world, the MUSLIMS are NEVER to blame. Everyone makes one excuse or another about why something happened, but no one ever has the guts to be blatantly honest and place the blame on the muslims where it should be, and people get mad at you if you tell it like it is. No one wants to blame the muslims for all the crap they cause in the world.
I, on the other hand, have not problem pointing the finger in the right direction, which is why my star rating here stays so low. Oh well...ratings be damned...I am sure people will likely look down of me for posting this response to you now, but I really don't care. I do, however, tend to stay away from discussions about politics and religion more and more these days simply because I do not want the hassle of dealing with all the bullsh!t...

I try to operate (as in surgery) in love. But the cut still has to be made or the patient will die. ;)

yes......and God also said, "If my people pray, reach for me with hearts that are broken.. I will listen and heal them... This too will happen depending on when does Egypt decide to seek God.

Hi Goldeneagle, that is interesting, even though I do not take most of the prophesies literally.
I just hope the "kingdom against kingdom" part does not come true in this case.
Otherwise we definitely have a divided Egypt in internal war. That will affect the supply of oil, and the whole world will collapse with the cost of oil reaching new high every day.
I do not think the current situation in Egypt will turn into a full blown crisis, since the military is still a very strong power.

The only thing I know about the situation is what I hear in the news. So far, Mubarak had given up his power, a female foreign correspondent was raped and brutalized, and another male journalist was also beaten. If the biblical paragraph is another prophecy of Isaiah, we still have to wait and see if what is happening now is the exact fulfillment... and if Mubarak is not yet the cruel lord, then something evil that way goes...

What is happening in Egypt at this point in time is definitely something that is very interesting. However, I do think that what is happening there right now is something that is going to be for the better for the citizens of Egypt as opposed to being something that is going to be bad for the Egyptians. Of course, it is still far too early in this event in world history to really know what the outcome is going to be.

i do think it's something to prophesize what has happened to Egypt recently. however, as what the other responses said, it's for the better of the nation itself not for something to cause worse things or even against each other. they have protested in order to create a new beginning and they were against corrupt leaders. it si for the sake of the country. but do not worry i have nothing against the Bible, i respect every thing on it.
