OMG gas prices are crazy!

We hit $2.95 a gallon here in Sevierville, TN. This is crazy. I spend 1/3 of an hour working just to buy on gallon of gas! $40 a week just to get to work. It's nuts.
I know in Ohio the gas prices hit $3.09
Does anyone know why there are so high. Everything keeps going up but my pay is taking them same.. there is just no more room in the budget.
