How to Disable Notification about New Discussions Created by Friends

I can't find that from MyLot preferences. And I don't have any of the boxes checked under the section of Notifications. So, where can I disable? Or is it possible to even disable the notification?

I have also looked around for a preference to disable this. I do not think they provide an option to do that. I think it is so that members can respond to their friends discussions and actively take part in the community of mylot friends.
I quite like receiving friend notifications because i only add people that post interesting discussions. So i always know where the quality discussions are.

I tend to get more than 10 notifications daily and although I have them filtered out I just want it to stop completely. Don't get me wrong, I like MyLot but I can actually check new discussions from friends here since the site offers a way to filter them.

just look topmost of the page, there you will find the pref option.

So, this is how to disable the notifications from my friends. I have so many notifications on my email that I don't even like opening and if fills up my inbox. Thanks for this.
