Have you seen, or heard of the...Neocube...The Intelligence Magnetic Toy?

While watching a couple of electric guitar fix-it tutorials on YouTube yesterday, I came across this interesting video by accident, describing the workings of the new Neocube toy. I thought, what the heck, I'm a bit of a science nut too, so...I decided to watch it. I was utterly fascinated! The cube itself is made up of 216, silver individual, magnetic ball bearings, about the size of a bee-bee. Cube sizes come in sets of balls ranging from 3mm to 10mm. However, each ball (bearing) is in itself separate, and magnetic...yet when added to the others, can form into many different, and unusual shapes and models, only limited by your imagination. Shapes like snowflakes that can, with the flip of the finger, transform into a ball, a triangle, a tube, a spinning disk, a necklace, a wristband, or whatever one decides to make out of them. Apparently, it has been around for a while, but this is the first I've ever heard about it. It's absolutely amazing what one can create with it. Have you ever heard, seen, or own one of these awesome toys? I know I'm gonna get me one for sure! cdrxo

Yes I have heard of them. As a matter a fact I wrote a review over at Hubpages about these Magnet Balls. They are really cool. Just be very careful around small kids with them. If they were to eat one it could cause problems since they are magnetized. But yes, you will love them. The solid silver is better than the colored. I have heard the colored ones tend to chip. I hope this helps. :)

Thanks for that advice. If I do get one, I'll make sure I also buy an extra BIG BIG magnet, just in case one of my grandchildren eat one. I can just point it a them, and they'll slide right over to me. I'll never have to ask them to "come here" ever again. cd

Ha Ha too funny. :) Or if they misbehave you can just stick them to the refrigerator! But seriously there have been stories where a child has eaten on and then several minutes later eat another one...and since they are magnets their organs move around and it is very, very painful and will kill them unless they have surgery. I would be scared to have them around anyone younger than 5.

You're probably right about that...much too dangerous among the young ones. Better an adult eat them rather than a kid. (-just kidding-) Yes, this is not a toy for smaller children. I agree. By the way, crazydaisy's avatar appears courtesy of...me, since I mistakenly was using her computer at the time to respond to your comments. I had no idea that her account and mine would somehow, "cross over". My apologies to all who received my re-responses. I'll be certain to not make that error again. Cheers to all. cdrxo
