"No Date" this Valentines day

Philippines
February 13, 2011 8:24am CST
Hello Lotters, Nope. there isn't any, the fact is i don't feel that bad myself since it's just one of those traditions i don't normally follow. most specially business are up again to those who are selling stuff to give to their partners this hearts day.MOST SPECIALLY THE MOTEL OWNERS, but not me (BAH, HUMBUG) Well, for one thing I got busy with a lot a bit of construction here and there. but not in the commercial space since there's no permit yet, probably in my brother's house since they've been getting a lot of mosquitos from the inside. not to mention kids are getting the bites too, which is horrible. so, since my cousin and I were around i decided to help him with putting a screen on some windows. Probably i would just greet my mom or any of my closest friends. but that's it. Any body's got a date, good luck out there.

Hi Knight, of course my date is my ever loving and supportive wife, who else?, but this time 3 more persons are added and this are my three loving children unlike when I was still courting her. Hahaha..actually we are talking of where to go as I am making this post. So glad that you keep your self busy and productive, so how was that girl who is marrying or did she get married already? (from Knight's previous post), don't worry, it won't be hard for a hard working guy like you to find somebody to love or date, maybe not now, guess your still young and has more Valentines ahead of you, good luck pal, wish you the best

it does not necessarily means that if you have no sweetheart you cannot celebrate it. It just means that it is the day of love and you need to spread it with the ones that your love. So there is no need for a date or an expensive dates and all of that just share it with someone you love like your mom or perhaps be with friends is just enough to celebrate love.

I guess that is fine already. Feb 14 is over now and if you feel happy about where you are right now I guess that would be alright and you stay there.

Hello Jazel, that's nice, you gave each other cakefor some reason you earned a very cool valentine celebration. nope she had to visit my sis in law who gave birth to a girl on the day of the valentine itself. as for motel owners, they sure got hit this time around. those room boys are so darn lucky hearing or seeing it all

Hello Zandi, Well, not really though because i use this now for the skype. i can consider myself lucky though because i don't have to haste myself with all of these preparations for the celebration.,besides, it can be done by mere simple dinner at home than just celebrating else where.

yeah, good luck cause the traffic is pretty bad, and all the malls are packed. I don't have a date, my boyfriend and I usually skip the 14th and usually celebrate before or after. And we do it by just eating out (which we always do anyways). Hehe. No flowers, no gifts. Though this year I gave my boyfriend a box of dark chocolates just because he gave me rubber shoes (So I though I needed to give him something in return) LOL Anyway, atleast you enjoyed and became productive this Valentine's day.

Hello Ingkingderders Well, I didn't go any where. I just cleaned the house the entire day because it's been into dust due to weeks of construction, so i couldn't get out.besides, it was my sister in laws birth for their youngest daughter. you can do before or after the 14th since it's always commercialized

Nice to read that you have been busy helping at your brothers house as you are always willing to help when people need the help. As for Valentines day oh, I have a sweetie but he is doing a show and well we won't be celebrating much. But that is okay love is not just one day at all, it is a daily love so I am not so worried.

Hello Hardworkinggurl, Well, not the type of day but was cousin was available to help out so that's why i decided to come along. but we had to clean their aircondition first before actually going to put the plastic fences. unfortunately, it's really hard though because it was just another day for me but anyways, thanks for responding.

(That gives me an idea for another movie hardworkinggurl & I can make---A Valentine's Carol, where old Mr. Screwedge (that's how we'll spell it) learns 'the true meaning of Valentine's' from the ghost of an ex-girlfriend and three hot angels (Valentine's past, -present and -future).) But that's the message there shoulda been in churches this week---the TRUE meaning of Valentine's isn't "happy relationships exude chocolate hearts & jewelry" (which--as far as I know--they don't), but it's something like 'everybody needs people to show care to' (as evidenced by how much happier all those little notes that the sending of helped St. Valentine survive prison). Or not. Anyway, I wish you and anybody else who reads this has a good week!

I was contented without any date until I read your post....Mmmmm...where do I go find someone...like you? LOL....just kidding. It's alright to be alone and yet not lonely. No need to find someone to fill up your time, and then you find out you are better off alone. It happens...hehe

hi letran letran we are having a Valentine's day party here at G old Crest retirement center with music and singing at 11 am tomorrow. I have no date as at my age dating a thing of the past, way past. I was widowed in 1991 . Oh I did have several opportunities to date again but at my age then I just wanted to stay single. I had one wonderful marriage and nobody can top that at all so I just keep my memories and am happy the way I am now.

Well Valentine’s Day has been and gone and although I have a perfectly good husband I can’t say I got a date either! For us it was a normal work day although we did take the trouble to wish each other a happy valentine’s day early in the morning. Our nine year old made it a little special when she produced a piece of art she had worked on at school; a beautiful picture of a bear carrying a bunch of heart shaped balloons along with bunches of flowers and HAPPY VALENTINE In bright big letters! Bless her heart!

Hi LetranKnight, That is the best idea to make your valentine day special and in fact I too did this before I had this girl who later became my wife. Many say, Valentines Day is the Girlfriend-boyfriend only but I feel it is a day to celebrate LOVE... and who else but the mom's are always the first persons whom we love... My mom felt great when I handed her a set of roses and a card to her and yes, I spent the whole day with her... That is a really great idea... Go for it, and to add to it, you would be happy too and Regards, theSids
