Do you have a dog like hachiko

i just watched again the movie hachiko the dogs story. Have you watch it too? The story was all about a dog who is very faithful and being loved by his master. Every day in morning hachiko escort his master to the train station and in the afternoon around 5 he will also wait for his master arrive. Hachiko wasn't trained for that thing, it was just the dogs instinct, maybe for this love and faithfulness. One day his master died, poor hachiko waited outside the train station but no sign of his master but still he patiently waited. For ten years waiting hachiko died because he was old.
If you have a dog, do you think you will also be a good master. And do you think that he will also wait for 10 years for you to come home.

I have not heard of this film until you mentioned in your discussion but it truly sounds like a very sweet and memorable film.
I do not have a dog as we live in a small apartment and I am one that would not want to chain and or confine a pet, so I would feel so cruel, as I would want my pet to be very free to run and be happy.
I will have to look up this hachiko film as it sounds like a film I would like to see, so thanks for sharing.

@hardworkinggurl: You better watch it. I'm sure you will love the story and hachiko. Actually the story it was based on a true to life story. And they also made a statue of hachiko outside the train station somewhere in Japan.
@puccagirl: Yes, you're right, it is a good movie to recommend.

I learned about this movie from a friend. So when I saw it on TV just awhile ago, I didn't watch it. I know it's a great true story about a dog's loyalty to his owner but I know myself. If I watch this movie, I'd get depressed. I have a dog too so watching dog movies like Hachiko would make me sad.

My dog is pretty loyal, like most dogs are I guess, but I think Hachiko was something special for sure. I don't think my dog would wait for me for 10 years, if he found someone else that was kind to him to take care of him. But you never know I guess!

I saw this superb film a few days ago. Based on actual events, you move even as the stone. I know it's crying before I sit down to see him and I said this time keep me strong, but I could not,it's too beautiful and too sensitive as to abstain from shed a tear or two -more. Loyalty and love for another being ...I wonder how many "people" can say that I feel something?

You're right, it's really hard to stop your tears from flowing. Even my younger sister who is just 9 years old and barely can't understand english cried. But I tried not to cry because I'm the type of person who usually hide herself if if about to cry.lol.
