Piyush Chawla and Harbhajan stars in India's win over Australia in a world cup warm up match at Chinnaswami stadium, Bangalore. India came out trumps in a low scoring lively pitch of C.S. Stadium, Bangalore relayrd specially for world cup under the supervision of Javagal Srinath. The pitch helped both fast ballers as well as spinners equally. Ponting gave a stiff fight to India and as long as he was on the crease Australia looked in a position to win the match easily. Once he was out brilliantly stumped by Dhoni off Harbhajan, there was dramatic collapse and India won by 38 runs. Earlier in the day India struggled against lively balling from Aussie pacers. India could only manage 214 runs in 44.3 overs at the back of good half century from Sehwag 54 of 56 balls,32 from 38 balls from Yusuf and useful 25 not out from Ashwin. This win would be a great moral booster for India ahead of world cup main drama.

Ya ,definitely a great victory brought by the spinners. All the spinners done exceptionally well fro this low scoring game.At one time it seems that the game is under Australia's hands when they started batting. But as soon as Ponting got out the mood of the game changed. But a the same time Indian team should work on the middle order as they are struggling to find runs and they are simply throwing away their wickets.

It is just the beginning. Players are bound to get rusted with the break they had after the busy season. We shall see some good fire works in days to come with Sehwag recovering from his injury and Yusuf getting lot of confidence from his S.A. stint. Harbhajan did a great job not only did he got key wicket of Ponting, he also kept the run rate under control.

Hi divkar,
So another nail biting win for India! When a match become well balanced and keeps on rolling over there is the excitement or else the one sided ones are just boring. That Australia often gets thrashed at the hand of India is his superior complexity it seems.
Well, now if this warm up match opens the pandora;s box India would surely have the last laugh.
