It has attacked my entire family so far. Except for my husband. What makes it so bad is that we all have received our Flu shots. It seems like everyone is getting sick. I had the stomach flu in January, I was throwing up and I lost my appetite. I was so weak and tired. And last Thursday, I caught the Flu again. This time I had an headache and sore throat. My kids were all sick with too. It seems like their colds will never go away. I don't even let them play outside in the cold weather. They are catching the germs at school and in the air. They all had fevers. Both of my kids had to stay out of school because they were sick. We all should keep Lysol on hand at home and antibacterial soap too. The virus is spreading rapidly, please take care of yourselves and your family and friends!!

Whole family was sick in early Jan. Wife laid in bed for 2 days straight. A week later everyone was sick again. Then Just last week everyone was sick. I was only sick the first time. No one got flu shot. I don't think it's really flu (stomach). It's a different virus that's why the flu shot won't help.

Hi. pdfdocspace. The nurse told me that they don't offer Flu vaccine protection for the stomach virus.

Yeah I got sick once this year. Thankfully it was nothing too serious. I think part of the problem is that it is too cold to open the windows of the house. Therefore the air in the house grows stagnate and thus there is no air to filter germs out. When you really think about it, that is really the reason where many people do in fact get ill in the winter months. I think really if you are sick, the best thing to do is to rest, take it easy, and drink plenty of fluids. Also sweat the cold out of you by wearing warm clothes and plenty of blankets. Granted, there are always going to be germs in the air, so unless you live in a bubble, you're going to be around germs. That is an unfortunate fact of life.

hi cream I am sad to hear all of you are down with the flu. most of us here at Gold Crest did have our shots but some came down with a different strain of the flu. I have been lucky that way but I got the Norfolk virus which most people just call stomach flu with vomiting and diarrhea,.I wash my hands with hot water and soap then spray my hands with hand disinfectant too.so far no flu for me. My son had it like you mentioned with aching and fever, and a bad headache, and a sore throat classic flu symptoms. He was pretty ill for a while there.I am in southen California and believeit or not we have had some crazy cold days for this climate i mean almost freezing and thats not normal for this part of California either.

Sooner or later the flu affects us all. When we see our family and friends with the flu, we know it will come around to us. O wish there was a way the flu could be avoided, but it seems to be unavoidable.

My daughter got the flu the beginning of this month and was just miserable. My grandson and I were the only ones who got their flu shot. It really sounds like you and your family need some immune strentheners. The number one is L-lysine, an amino acid that strengthens it. I would start taking this about five of them daily for five days and then follow the instructions the rest of the time. And increase your citrus intake. Vitamin C and zinc. You take care, better care actually. haha

So far so good in my house. I wasn't able to get my yearly flu shot this year at work because I was sick...just a cold but you know the rule with the shots...can't be ill. There have been some neighboring counties here that have closed school this week over illness. It is certainly spreading fast.

I actually believe that the flu shots help you to get the flu. All these vaccinations that they say you must have are just a scam in order to control society. They want to keep us dumbed down and unhealthy. I know this is a controversial way of thinking, but it is what I believe. I have never had flu shots and these days, I never get sick in any way at all. I used to come down the common cold every year in winter at least once, maybe twice at the most, but I have boosted my immune system in recent years by eating mostly organic fresh fruits and vegetables along with upping the amount of herbs that I consume. I cut out dairy and meat also which are known to weaken the body's immune system. My kids do get a little sick every now and then from being exposed at school, but no where near as bad as they used to when they were younger. My wife never gets sick anymore either.
