Do you like your body?

Let's face it: nowadays appearance is more important than substance; if it wasn't so, in this world wouldn't exist people obsessed with their weight and aspect.
I personally have difficulties in accepting my body; I've been an athlete since I was a little kid and stopped some years ago. Now, all my muscle need to be in constant exercise or they get "relaxed". Sometimes I see my legs fat and I'm literally obsessed with my flat abs, plus I've never accepted that my breast is kinda little...
I've had many boys asking me if I wanted to be their girl, but even if they thought I was beautiful I just can't see my body in a good way.
What about you, do you like yourself? Is there something you'd like to change?
PS. please, don't think I'm anorexic or something, because I'm not
Thanks for all your answers! :)

Yes, I try them on me everyday and they work. The site you should concentrate of is definetly youtube since there are HUNDREDS of videos that show you exactly how to do them. Just enter youtube and type the part of the body you're interested in followed by "exercise"...you won't only find videos but also entire channels about how to keep fit...Good luck! :)

you'd be surprised to know that you don't need the gym. At the beginning, due to my some financial matters, I couldn't afford to go to the gym and this really got me frusutrated for the reasons I stated above. Then a friend of mine told me that he kept fit with some exercises he found online that could be easily practiced at home.
Now I'm going like this and I really can't complain...you should try! ;)

I do want my arms to be just a little bit thinner, and my belly flabs be a little bit flatter, but overall, I still love my body. I have found ways to trick others with regards to my appearance, hide the imperfections and showcase my best assets. And, luckily, my boyfriend doesn't care that much, although he is often reminding me to have even a little exercise for my health.

Yeah, that's what I was feeling all this time, that I want to start exercising because I want to, and not because he wants me to do it.

fortunately you're not as obsessed as I am; I think you're luck if you love yourself just the way you are. If one day you'll decide to follow your boyfriend suggestion just do it because you want, don't do it because you feel forced.

I agree with you. Appearance is very important. Even you go for job interview, their first impression is depend on your appearance.
Honestly, i am not satisfied with my body. Although i am tall and my sholders are wide because i am a swimmer but because of i didn't exercise for quite a long time and i really love food. Soo...You can imagine what will happen to my body, haha.
Anyway, i am working on something perhaps my body will look better after few months. Thanks for create the discussion.

no need to thank me, I thank you for your honesty :)
swimmers usually have great bodies (I mean c'mon, have you seen Michael Phelps?!), plus some people suggested me to swim to get back my legs to the good old days.
Food is also my problem: I LIKE TO EAT...and no, not carrots and vegetables or fruit...
In my stomach you'll find the worst things: chocolate, ice cream, chips, McD's hamburgers...I just can't help myself when it's matter of food!

Hi,
I'm 25 and have had serious problems with the way I see my body for a significant part of my life, but it all started to change in my twenties.
I started to concentrate on every other part of my life more and that meant I didn't have so much time to worry about my appearance. I never think that people who are concerned with their looks are shallow or vain though, because I understand the feeling and there is so much pressure to look good.
I put on a bit of weight a while ago and got bad stretchmarks. Even though I've ost the weight now, I'm left with them, but I've reached a point where I know it's not the end of the world. And these changing bosy shapes are just all part of being a woman.
How old are you, if you don't mind me asking? I think that we get to an age when we 'grow into our bodies', and then feel comfortable in our own skins.
You have admirers, so you are obviously beautiful to many people. So I know it's easier said than done, but try to accept that you are attractive and maybe have a go at going out with one of these boys, and see how nice it is to be admired. You shouldn't depend on other people's approval, but it could boost your confidence.
Yoga is wonderful for relaxing, growing to love your body and toning it as well.

Hi Emily :)
I don't mind telling you my age, I'm 21. I started practicing sport when I was 4 years old and never stopped untill I was 17; at that age my body was simply perfect: I was well proportionated and all my muscles were sculpted. It looked like if I was made of marble.
Now everything is different: the higher part of my body turned skinny and the lower got relaxed and chubby.
You're right: I've admirers, but they see me dressed...I wouldn't feel comfortable in a bikini.
Thanks for the suggestion about yoga, I've heard about many people having great results with it! ;)

Dear Jingmo, thanks for your kind respond...I've no doubt that we should all love ourselves but you see, THIS is the hardest thing for me. When I look in the mirror I see myself wrong...Losing weight is hard for most of who tries to do it but not impossible; i guess most of the times it's all matter of will and dedication.

Actually No! I do not like my body. I have tried so many diets that work for a while then after the weight is lost not to long after i put it 0n again. Sometime i wonder if my metabolism is working at all. However what i have noticed if i am under stress or i have been really busy, i tend to loose weight. I have decided to go see a specialist a friend told me about, he gives you a parasite cleanse as this is one of the causes that prevents you from losing weight the right way then he tells you the right food to eat based on your blood type.

Hi season, thanks for your answer :)
You should really follow your friend suggestion; a dietologist is actually the only one able to give you a the diet that fits you best. Plus, I'm sure he'll tell you some exercises to follow.
It's no wonder you lose weight when you're under stress or you work a lot since stress make human burns lot of calories ;)

true, nobody can be you and you can't be somebody else. But that's just my problem: I don't feel good with myself; it's strange, it's like if sometimes I wasn't the same person I was few time ago...
I go running everyday and go to the gym...my mom says I'm obsessed! LOL

As a whole, I like my body- most of the time. Sometimes I just look at my body and go blah. Then there are times that I look in the mirror and think I look pretty good. However, there are parts of me I would LOVE to improve- stomach, thighs, legs, arms, etc. I try to work out but its hard for me to get motivated on my days off. My boyfriend tells me I'm beautiful but I do not see what he sees.

Actually, I love my body. I'm normal as to body built and weight as per my private doctor. I can't ask for more though I'm not that athletic but I still manage to be fit its just that I'm a bit heavy on the tummy. May be I just need to make several visits to the gym which will then bring out those handsome muscles.

wow, from your workds it looks like you really love your body...good for you! If you're already quite fit maybe even one or two visits a week would be ok to you...
Also my weight is fine according to my doctor, sometimes i get under-weight, but the average is good.
For your tummy i'd suggest you to do some crunch! ;)

I did but now I dont :( I was super skinny when I was learning martial arts at school, but now I am very fat but not like the thick one. I am very lazy to do something, I would laying in bed all day if I'm not going to school lol And of course my mom and everybody complain me, they said I need to exercise everyday. Thighs, abdomen and my face is much more fat than before, I feel so tired and heavy now :(

I'm in your same situation and I totally understand you :)
also my mom wants me to do some sport to keep fit (she just doesn't want me to exagerate) but not because she sees me fat; simply because, being a mom, she sees how it hurts me not to feel comfortable with my body...plus, she cannot forget the glorious days of my sport career, she was very proud.
Don't think your mom and everybody see you fat or ugly...they're just worried for you because they probably understand that you're sad about it.
Just do some exercises and, trust me, when you'll see the first results you'll never want to stop!
Have a nice day :)
