Actually they are on right NOW
Just wondering how many of you out there enjoy watching the grammy's or even other awards shows such as the oscars, the golden globes, etc.
I have to say, that though i love watching the oscars because i love movies, the grammy's have always been my favorite because of all the performances.
How about you? Do you watch the awards shows every year? What are your favorites?

Sanctus Real, I fell in love with their song, "Lead Me" because I understand this meaning of this song personally...I have to leave in a little bit to dog sit, I hope I get back in time to see if they won...

yes, some of the artists costumes and performances CAN be a little over the top LoL. Gaga's was pretty tame tonight, but ce-lo's was entertaining, i think he was supposed to be dressed as a peaccock with bling? LoL and he had puppets doing the backup singing for him. it was certainly entertaining! LoL
I guess you know what they say, different strokes for different folks, right?

I do not watch any of the award shows. Mostly I am online, and hubby is reading or watching crime shows. I am not even sure we pick up the channel the awards are on as we just use a digital converter box.

Most all of them (except the specialty ones, like the MTV music awards) are on the basic networks. Grammys are on CBS. But i understand that. Some people just aren't into them, and this way you don't have to fight with the hubby as to what to watch! LoL

Those and the Grammy or Emmys whatever it is coming up this weekend....those kinds of shows are nothing but the biggest waste of time and money I have ever seen. Nothing but a bunch of arrogant, self-righteous,empty headed, air heads that have more money than they know what to do with and wouldn't know how to balance a checkbook if they had to, muchless give change for a buck! Nothing but a waster of time and money...all way around! And here many are out of work, hungry and homeless... but hey, let's watch all the bimbos and duck heads walk down some red carpet looking like idiots!

So lady gaga is just weird and she just finished here performance and of course she stands out and is an amazing artist and comes up with some weird things to do while on stage. Not sure what to think of her but the first performance with the 5 girls was boring so im waiting for something to stand out there and pop and be really good. I like watching the grammies and i like them to watch the performances and see what everyone is doing and i like music so this is fun for me.

I agree. I don't get all worked up over who does and doesn't win the awards, because i know what i like for music, and it doesn't really matter to me what others like, but i do enjoy watching the performances, as the artists usually tend to go all out, where it is such a widely televised event.
I, too, was disappointed with lady gaga's performance just now, i was expecting something a little flashier from someone who is so known for her wild and crazy antics!
