Favorite awards show moments

In honor of the Grammy's being on tonight, i thought's i'd start this topic. We all all know that every year, there is always SOME memorable moment during all of the award shows that get aired. Whether something heart touching in a speech, an AMAZING performance, a controversial joke, or someone maybe having a few too many drinks before taking the stage and accepting their award. What is your favorite memory? Mine is from the 1995 Grammy awards, when Alanis Morissette was on to perform her song "You Oughta Know" which was up for the best song of the year award, When she took the stage, everyone was expecting her to rock it out and give her normal angsty performance, but instead she did a very toned down (acoustic i believe) performance, with her simply sitting on a stool and belting out the lyrics in a very touching manner.
