A total of 48 thousand of experts that prepared the various fields in the days of Suharto by BJ Habibie,no longer known to exist. Most of them are currently employed in some European countries and America. most of them have ever sent to study abroad by the government of Indonesia now many who are working abroad as an expert field of aircraft, shipbuilding and other strategic industries. whatever the reason, experts act is unacceptable and wrong. They were sent to school with public money and has promised to serve the nation. If they are harvested by foreign countries, it is solely because of money (not enough). The same reasons used by the criminals in our country. so what's the difference? moral crisis as well?

Thank you for your welcome. I am pleased to join here. I am glad to meet another member from Indonesia. Hopefully we can establish good relationships with each other. As an Indonesian, I am very concerned with the state of Indonesia, and I'm sure all the Indonesian people also cared. If not the people of Indonesia who care, who else will care. Although the current situation is chaotic, but as people of Indonesia, we should try to help the government, to make things better. I am aware, there's not much I can do,but do not make matters worse, at least I can help.

Little bit agree with winzpc's opinion.
Guarantee or insurance is also one of the reason, I think. If they went back to Indonesia, will there be any guarantee/insurance they got what they wanted?
Indeed, the famous saying says: "Don't ask the country what they could give to you, but ask yourself what you can give for the country" (or sounds similar like that :D)
But one also need to think about his/her own concern, or family, or dreams, and many many more. If they couldn't get it when they back to his/her country, so why they should?

I have a slightly different view. I think the expert was not willing to serve the state because the state is unable or unwilling to use it. They were sent maybe is part of an bilateral agreement.
Maybe you've watched talk shows kick andy who invited famous Indonesian experts overseas. One says that in Indonesia, he would not be able to get the funds or the facilities to realize his knowledge so if he worked for the state then the knowledge will not be utilized optimally.
That is to say they chose to continue working abroad because of our own country who are unable to accommodate them.
