I'm currently watching season 2 on DVD and have really noticed some flaws and other things in this show.
It's funny watching a real car then suddenly watching a model toy trying to get out of a deep mud puddle.
This is an interesting show and I can't wait to get the rest of it on DVD in the future.
I never watched it when I was younger, even 10 years ago I couldn't get into it, but now I'm enjoying it.
I always wonder though, how some things happen during the show, for example, how there are cameras all over the place, conveniently when there's something happening, and they pick up everything.
Or the fact that somehow the mobile truck is always where they need it when they're driving, it's always close by somehow and Devon is always in the truck when he's usually at the office.
How about the fact that KITT never needs gas like other cars do. No one has ever mentioned what he runs on.
How about the fact that William Daniels, the voice of KITT has never been credited on the show. Does that make any sense? It doesn't to me.
It may be a fairly predictable show, but I still like watching it.

For sure it was.
I found out who he was almost accidentally when I started watching St. Elsewhere and he was in it. So I did some searching and found out that he played KITT. He's got a similar attitude in both shows. It's a shame that he never got credit, he deserved it.

kris - you are just making that same mistake most make when watchings the "oldies" and finding so many things wrong with them. You have to remember WHEN they were made and what was available at THAT time, not now. People watch shows from days gone by, but with today's mentality and then think the show was so full of mistakes and all. You have to watch with the same mentality of the time it was mad...most often.
At its creation time...they were cutting edge. You could take most every drama made in the 70's/80s and find tons of mistakes and faults with them, but that is only because we didn't know then what we know now.
But if you look at them in their own time...they were pretty cool, up to date and cutting edge...or else they wouldn't have had the longevity that they did. Dramas and sitcoms don't have the longevity these days that they did back in the day. If eight gets a full 5 years, they are doing great, but apparently gone is the time when they were 8-15 years before cancellation.
However, I watch things these days and kind of think the opposite..."oh come on...the technology they have today, and they couldn't even have the truck there when the car needed it?"
And then toss in there...are you viewing it for pleasure and fun or are you want to critique it? I watch for fun. Sorry to day that these days, there is very little "fun" on tv anymore. To much violence, crime, blood, guts, gore and sexxxx for them to be enjoyable. I just went through this with Criminal MInds. I started watching the reruns and thinking, pretty cool. But then started watching the current ones and they have just gotten to blantant and "in-your-face" gross and graphic and disgusting.
KNow what I enjoy watching? Shows like I Love Lucy, Rhoda, PEtticoat Junction, Beverly Hillbillies, Andy Griffith show....shows that were nothing but pure fun and enjoyment and keep me laughing!

I watched Knight Rider when I was in middle school. I used to love that show. I haven't seen any episodes of it in along time though. One of my facebook friends mentioned they found Season 1 and 2 of Knight Rider on dvd for only $10 a piece though so for that price might have to buy a copy and watch it again. I always loved Kitt. How cool to have a car that talked to you.

My kids pick up on these type of things when watching older shows.
The Dukes of hazard is one of those that the kids notice things that are just not right. Seeing the microphone above the heads of the actors etc.

I was once an avid watcher of Knight Rider. I liked david hasselhoff much better here than in Baywatch. William daniels as KITT was the perfect match to Hasselhoff. I don't own this on DVD but it something i would like. It was a fun show to watch.

I did and if I find it on now, I will watch. It was a neat show. I do not like the new remake that they tried to come out with though. It just wasn't it.

oh yes!! When I was a kid, I used to love it! When I was around 10 or so (maybe even earlier). I loved the fact that a special car was built which could do everything that it did...even the fact that is spoke!!
But I outgrew the show in a few years. When they had re-runs in the 90's, it didn't interest me and I never watched it then. Don't think I will enjoy watching it now either. My tastes have changed(for better or worse is for you to decide :P)

I watched the original some, and I really liked it. I did not pay a lot of attention to the details you mention, though. I would watch it if I came across it on TV now. It was entertaining.

Ten years ago This TV show was verr popular in Latvia. I was watching it with my classmates and in next day talking about what was hapened in this episode. I think that this TV show was quite good, because there still many people remember it and the story was quite good too, because I dont remember many movies or TV shows about talking cars. It would be nice TV our television would start to show Knight raider again. I would watch some episodes and remember my childhooh. And David Haselhof I a good actor. He has many good TV shows like Knight raides and BAywach. If I had to choose, thitch of these TV show is the best, then I think that I choose Baywach. And that of course is Because of Pamela Anderson And Carmena Electra. I like That girls a lot.
