According to a report by Ric Camaligan of the National Cinema Association of the Philippines via PEP’s Scoopbox, “My Valentine Girls” registered an ALL-TIME BIGGEST 3 DAY GROSS for a local or even a Hollywood film shown in the country. The Richard Gutierrez-starrer reportedly raked in an estimate of P135 million in just 3 days! P135 million in just 3 days is indeed a miracle, not to mention that it’s not Valentine’s Day yet. And it’s not even weekend yet which means by 1 week we can expect the movie to reach the elusive P200 million mark. That is, if the report is accurate. according to PEP

Really? Well that is huge. I am not a RIchard Gutierrez fan. He's good looking and all, but I don't think he's a good actor. He looks monotonous to me. Personally I think Eugene Domingo brought the movie to its status. With all the rave talking about their (Hers and Richard's) segment in the movie "Gunaw". I haven't seen the movie yet. I gathered this from twitter feeds. They said the movie would flop if not for the Eugene Domingo part. Not even RIchard and Solenn can make the movie gross that high. So I say kudos to Eugene! She's really funny. And I am a big fan of hers. I still won't watch the movie though. Happy Valentines day everyone!

I agree! Uge is a great factor in the success of the film. I really find her so funny and witty. Even in Tanging Ina, I think she carried the film to box office success.

I agree with you! She's really funny and natural. She would effortlessly make me laugh with her funny lines. A great team-up with AiAi is also nice. But I am still waiting for Eugene Domingo and Candy Pangilinan team-up. I hope you still remember her though. She is really making me laughing up wild with her jokes before. Sad but she's not in the circulation now. But I am still hoping that a great opportunity will still be given to her.

Yes, I agree that Eugene made the movie a success. Not Richard, not Solenn, not Lovie and certainly not Rhian. I have nothing against these people, but I think if you let the movie be without Uge, the movie won't be a success. Think about it. What the people raved about is Uge and Richard's team-up. It's all they talk about. What they said about the other 3 leading ladies is that yes, they were lovely. But their stories weren't enough to get them talked about.

Well I'm sure, it will be a busy day. The bosses are not even in for the day. Maybe, they are cooking something special for their loved ones. Love is in the air indeed!

Wow! That's a very humongous amount! Congrats for them. I'll just wait for its DVD. I find watching movies through the big screen expensive so I was into having no choice but to wait for the DVD.

I can hardly believe that it is true! a lot of people would spend time to watch something in the comfort of their homes with the VCD and DVD or here in the internet. And I would believe this if piracy in our country is not rampant! This is just only my opinion that it's not true and this is only a marketing strategy. I have nothing against Richard because he is a very humble person. Me as a very busy person and having no time to watch television is not aware that he has a movie like this so it is not much of a deal. The Tourist which is starred by Angelina Jolie is a nice movie and yet it reached the consciousness of the very-busy-people like me. But I will still watch that movie if I have a spare time. Not because of this watch-this-movie marketing strategy but because I would also like to support Philippine movies and ofcourse I also like to watch that movie. Nice to hear from you again.
