Hi guys, For me, I think the most risky thing that I have done was to give up a high-salary job, though I may have many oppotunities there, I don't like that job at all, so I quit, and decided to get a master degree. How about yours? I'd appreciate any of your stories.

I think the most risky thing I've done was when I changed the degree that I was taking during my university days. I first took Psychology because that was what my father wanted me to take. But then on my 2nd year in psychology, I was not really happy anymore with what I was doing. It was pointless trying to finish the degree that's not really what I want. I couldn't give my all because my heart and my mind just won't cooperate. Thus, I shifted to AB International studies. It was risky because at first I didn't tell my father I changed my degree so I had to make sure my grades were good so when I'm ready to tell him, he wouldn't complain and won't kill me. Hahaha! Anyway, Fortunately I didn't have major problems on the degree that I chose. I was glad everything went fine and I was able to graduate on the right time.

Dear Louisecheng ,Having gone through your profile I gathered that you are an young person and at this age to give up a high salary job may look a most risky thing for you1 But then you have got a long way to go and you will get lot of other opportunities and I feel you may really get more better job than the one you left! I am a Stud Vet and I deal with 350 horses on daily basis. We need to take care of he horses. Many a times while treating the horses we get ourselves entrapped in the position that we have escape from getting ourselves hurt by fraction of hair, as when the horses are in pain they become very violent and to control them we need to sedate them before we can give any treatment! This time is really very dangerous and many a times people handling them end with some injuries. I too had few occasions where I got myself saved from these violence attacks very narrowly! My profession requires to treat the horses of the diseases which can be transmissible to human beings also, which we call as zoonotic ones, here we really have big risk of contracting these diseases! Yesterday I conducted a postmortem of a horse which had a abnormally big enlarged spleen which is suggestive of the fact that the horse suffered from some chronic disease, some times this can be because of some zoonotic diseases also! Here we are at high risk! So What I mean to say, there are many jobs in this world where people are risking their lives day and night! This starts from a simple painting high raised buildings to the soldier fighting at the border. A pilot till h time he doesn't land safely on the ground he is at risk along with the commuters! So in nutshell what I want to say is that in the game of life, you have no success until unless you don't take real risk of life! Loosing a job is a simple thing and there are many other things in the life which are real risky than this! Hope you got my point! Possibly because of your young age or you your job may be every thing for you, but in the actual life there are many other risky things , which you will realise once you watch carefully around you which people are taking just to meet the both ends in their lives! Thanks friends for the discussion started! I loved to participate in it!

i am not really sure if there had been already the "risky" factor... but so far i guess it was the time when i resigned from my job and then not knowing if i am already hired at the new company i am applying for.

Hi Louise, I think the most risky thing is to rush across the road when there is heavy traffic. Sometimes it is impossible to wait for all the cars to stop. The wait could take hours. Fortunately nothing happens so far, other than the angry drivers honking. Over in Singapore, there is actually no need to rush across the road. But in China and Johor Bahru, if you don't rush across when the cars are moving slowly, you can forget about crossing the road. I think that is even riskier than your choice. At least it is not life threatening for you to give up a well paid job.

Most risky thing I've done so far is take my relationship to the next level. I'm now in the metro to work while my girlfriend is at my hometown. It's hard to maintain such a relationship but if you really love someone without compromising anything, you have to try everything.
