I got a working holiday visa for Australia and let my cottage out so I could afford to travel around the world. It is possible to buy a tent and camp in it. Flying by plane can be expensive but sometimes low cost airlines operate to popular destinations. Local trains and buses might be much cheaper than going by air. It is lovely to stay in a private room, youth hostels or backpackers. It is wonderful to get a job overseas or study abroad. Some people go couch surfing or home swapping. A poor person could save up to visit a neighboring country like a Malaysian could visit Thailand or an American could go to Mexico.

Depends on what you mean by traveling. You can travel to different places by reading books about them, that is what I do while I save some money and then, at least I can decide if I really want to go there or not instead of regretting it by already going there without any knowledge about the place! You can travel in your garden and see different creatures or you can also even travel in your mind which do not cost so much money!

Interesting. It seems many tourists go to far places to find something different ... But they say, in the final analysis: "Its not what we're looking at, it's what we see." A man with right mind-set can take a walk nearby and see things that are as or even more enjoyable as a very expensive tour ... What do you think ?
