There are many way to learn english.
English is a universal language, we can learn it easily.
Just we need some concentration on english words.
And we have to remind them again and again, through which we get perfection in pronouncing.

Welcome to myLot. Well this is the best site where you can practice your writing skills in English. You can also read some responses specially those written well in English. Aside from this, try to read a lot of English books. Speak the language as often as you can to hone your speaking skills. This is much that I can contribute! Happy myLotting!

Absolutely welcome to mylot..and I think this is a great place for you to practice your English skills, especially in the written form. The more interaction and posting you do, the better I believe things will get for you with those skills.

I'm from sweden, so just like you english is my second language. I did not learn in english in school, but more by watching movies, listening to music and more.
I believe that this is a great way to learn english, by constantly exposing yourself to it. My advice is you use the following method
1: Watch movies in your language with english subtitle, you understand what they say and you can read how it's said in english.
2: Then start watching movies in english with your language as subtitle and try to "predict" what they are going to say. i do this unintentionally and i believe that it has taught med much.
3: Hang around online, like on MyLot and just read, and if you find a word that you don't know, just look it up or try to guess a possible translation.
4: And last, when you feel some understanding of the language and you are able to speak somewhat understandably, go practice! Start discussions like this one, translate whatever english you find, and take every opportunity you get to speak english!
Good luck learning! :)

Hi! I'm from Viet Nam, I been to US 4 years ago, learning a language like English is like a tower for me to climb =.= such a harsh, after 4 years, my English is good enough for others to understand( but not very fluent though) :". The 2 things that I recognized from learning English is that if you wanna be good in English you must first understand their grammar =.= very very confusing... but if you understand the grammar, English will be alot easier... secondly you must study vocabulary =..= this is like the worst task ever, because English is a live language so newer words pouring in the dictionary gradually and continuously but when you know enough vocab, you know that you can speak, listen, write, and read English as a native English speaker :D

Read more books, articles or news, it should help, especially if you have native english speaker friends or people aroudn you, talk to them, keep practising everyday. Working on mylot should help as well because we all speak English, you can learn from the discussions.

Hello rongronger and welcome to myLot.
You have come to the right place as the more you respond and comment to discussions you will continually perfect and enhance your English skills. Do not be so hard on yourself as no one is perfect. None of us here on myLot are allowed to make fun of anyone who has difficulty with the language.
The more you participate the easier it will get for you. Best of luck and welcome aboard!

If you really want to learn English well, you have to execute it in your everyday life. Utilize it when speaking, speak English w/ your conversation w/ friends, family etc. Write using English language, like what you do here in myLot, participate in other English forums too. It may not be in an instant but soon you'll learn the ropes and perfect your English proficiency.
