I was reading the newspaper this morning, and saw a news repeort that eating berries may prevent Parkinson's disease. Researchers have been working on the the project for some time and reported on their findings. Berries do have herbal values for different diseases and health complaints. I had a personal experience once when I had a sever backpain, and, taking the advice of a pharmasist, I drank cranberry juice every morning regularly. The backpain was gone within a week. Amazing ! Please share your experience with the health values of berries.

It mustn't make sweeping generalizations.Yes,the cranberry cured your backpain, some berries are able to prevent Parkinson's disease, but these need going through scientific validation. As far as I know ,some of berries of poisonous plants such as Araceae family plant cann't be eaten randomly.

Hi Sarah. It is good that you are taking the cran-grape drink on a regular basis. That certainly is very good for health, I am sure.

I have had great luck with cranberry juice through the years. Any time I feel like I might have the slightest bit of a kidney infection, which might have been the cause of your backpain, I drink cranberry juice. And I drink a lot of it. Depending on how severe the infection, it is usually gone in a day or two.
I also drink fruit juice on a regular basis during cold and flu season, if I feel the slightest bit of a cold coming on. I will also take a Vitamin C and eat chicken noodle soup. So far this year, I have been able to nip any slight colds within a couple of days. Knock on wood.
I remember hearing a article on a radio talk show about cherry juice. They said it is the best thing for joint pain. Even better than any type of prescription medication.
My favorite juice is Juicy Juice. It comes in different flavors and it is 100 percent juiice.

Thank you for sharing the information. Yes, it probably was kidney infection which gave me the backpain. I have been drinking cranberry juice frequently since then. Yes, I also drink orange juice in the mornings at breakfast time. That helps keeping the cold away.

Oh I see. Yes, berries can be quite expensive. Here in my country too, they are quite expensive. I usually drink the berry juices. That's more affordable, and still carry the herbal values. Thank you.

We don't have berries here. We must import them. I can find them in supermarket but the price is quite high. So, I don't buy them frequently.

Yes, berries can be quite expensive. Some kinds are very expensive in my country too. If it has to be imported, that becomes more expensive. I usually just drink the juices. Juices still carry good health values.
