So, tonight Jeopardy will air the first of a three part competition between Ken Jennings (the man who has won the MOST games of jeopardy), Brad Rutter (the contestant who has won the most MONEY in his jeopardy career) and Watson, an IBM supercomputer that encompasses A.I (artificial intelligence) technology to determine answers based on info given, context clues, etc. Anyone else out there both excited, and somewhat scared to see how well this computer does? Excited because i want to see just how well it actually works, but kind of scared that computers are becoming so advanced that they can think like that. Maybe i have just seen too many science fiction movies where computer like this start thinking for themselves and then take over the world... What do you think? Will you be watching the show? What do you think the outcome will be? do you ever get frightened by how far advanced technology is getting? (and for those of you who want to learn a little more about "Watson" or haven't heard anything about this computer before, here is a link that has an interesting interview with a gentleman who works for IBM, the creators http://www.zdnet.com/blog/howlett/ibm-watsons-jeopardy-play/2890 )
