Benefits of higher posts/reputation?

Hello my fellow myLotters, I was wondering if there was an benefit if having higher posts and reputation. Aside from the obvious, of course. Users with higher post count generally have been payed out more, or are closer to payout. Is there any real difference? Also, for the reputation, what is the purpose of that? Of course, it looks good, and usually means that the quality of your content are probably good as well. Are there any true differences?
