My birthday was just last week. Every birthday time of year, I always go with family and fsometimes friends or relatives to animal shelters.
I have two darling cats at my house who do not get along with others (ages 14 and 8). One day I hope we can try and at least give trial adoption and have them get along. But for my birthday, what always brings me so much joy is to see animals and spend as much time givng them love and warm vibes ou tto the animals at orphanages (animal shelters). I know it can be very hard for many, not to adopt; I have gotten better at it, though they melt your heart.
We wear clothing that can be thrown into the laundry the second we get home, as they are covvered in fur and the risk of passing on viruses or germs to our animals at home. We always make to to donate however small amounts or mthings to the shelters when we go (i.e. at least the amount that you would pay to go to the movies that day; you instead you come here and get so much more pleasure). I brought a big case of dog food this time also, which they thanked us happily for. :o)
My other rule for me is not to look (at least if must, only a tad bit) at youngin' animals, or you melt away. And they get adopted much faster, so I try to spend time and pet the most the adult animals.
How about you guys?

Oooh, great to see you again! I took a long "vacation" from posting on here. So glad you still responded to me.
I know about wantign to adopt them all. It happens to me every time. But each of these up for adoption dolls really need to have as much love adn attention they can by people, instead of just being left alone sleeping and getting sad every day in small cages. Really. You should think about doing it.
Many volunteers go regulalrly to just spend time at shelters that are able to set up, and they also get used to it. The animals would be very grateful to see some care and warm faces.

that was honestly very sweet of you to love pets of not your own that way. i love pet also i have 6 cats and 3 dogs on my apartment. my first cat was a female i adopted her in a neighborhood far across the street where my parents live, then she got pregnant and boom now they are 6 already. my first dog was a gift from my cousin and i bought another two to be his playmate and companion. i like people who treats pets very nicely. a pet lover definitely someday will be a good parents for my points of view, if you can take care of pets the more for your kids :) continue what you're doing Godbless :)

6 cats and 3 dogs! Wow! that much be so much work to take care of (so many litter boxes), walking the dogs regularly, playing with everybody. I hope you have lots of help combing/brushing/feeding.
I hope they all get along. My two cats unfortunately do not get along too well. In the past, I had 4 cats, and they amazingly got along quite well. My cats are ages 14 and 8. Are your kittens still young? And I assume they are all spay/neutered, so that they are not mating to multiply the population.
Thank you for taking and caring for all the animals. I could not live a happy life without my furry family members. :o)

hi loen what a nice kind person you are to do that on your birthday.
I cannot get around easily or I what do something like that. Also
I know I would feel so sad as I c annot affprd to adopt one of
them as it would raise my rent here at Gold Crest. The cutie kittens would be the hardest to pass by. sad that there has to be places like this and that so many pets finally get killed. I hate that very thought. people should care for their pets and if they cannot keep the4m find them good homes with loving people.i feel so grateful to have met you and know your love and kindness towards the animals.

Aww Hatley,
you're so kind. If you can make it some time, maybe have friends, or even just ask the shelters if they are easily accessible. Some shelters I have gone to are very difficult to get around if you have troubleSome of sitting areas, and even private little "cells" you came take an animal in there with you and spend more quality time with them. I enjoyed doing this a lot.
Thank you for your kind words, and no, it is not a big thing. I do not go enough, and do no volunteer like really kind hearted people often do. I can only afford the time and energy to go over a few times a year. But it really does a lot for us. And it always really makes my birthday extra special. :o)

What a wonderful way to spend a day! I don’t go to the shelter very often because it breaks my heart to leave the unfortunate animals behind who may or may not get adopted. The last time I visited I came home with a beautiful kitten that has been with us for over a year now. I was able to take him because one of my cats had just passed away and I had the space. I have a dog, two cats, a bird and three fish and that is all we can afford and manage at present. One of my wishes is to be able to accommodate more because there is nothing like saving a life...
