What do you think are the best practices to avoid falling asleep while at the office..?
My job gets boring at times, so I can't help it but doze off or zone out sometimes. How do you keep your focus and concentration back?
Thanks!

oh my...i know how this feels.if you ask me, the best way to beat falling asleep at work is to take coffee or hot chocolate...sodas and tea helps too given the caffeine. also, i find that keeping myself occupied and busy helps a lot...i mean, if you are doing a lot of stuff...then you not only become proactive - you also become more alert and time passes by oh so fast =D try chewing candies too...i think that will help...grab a mentos! ;-)

Well, one way is to drink beverages with caffeine in it. It has a short-term effect though but it would get you through those work hours. You could also walk around your work area, or if you can go to the restroom, go their with a quick stride. And once there, try jogging in place. A warning, though, you have to be prepared to receive some grins and witty remarks from your officemates :)

Hi nica,
I usually get up from my desk and take a walk around, looking at the scenery outside also help. Simple stretching exercises complements the maneuver. It won't take much of your time, just equivalent to a normal trip to the bathroom and back. I don't resort to coffee or other stimulants for it get on my nerves at night.
I also make it a point to sleep early at night and take at least 8 hours of sleep everyday. A cool bath in the morning makes for a zestful day especially during sunny weather.

I drink coffee, tons of it, and I wash my face with very cold water. I stand up and sometimes go outside for a short walk around the block. Sometimes I take a break from my work and do some personal e-mails (or myLotting ) to change my focus. I chat with co-workers (fortunately we're very few in the office, and nobody is disturbed, quite to the contrary, it helps keep everybody awake )
I'm sleepy almost each afternoon at work, but I never actually fell asleep. I know some people who sleep at work, and I envy them; I wish I could doze off for 10-15 minutes in front of the computer.

in fact only the regular time let people be sleepy every day,in which you should walk about instead of sitting down, even if being seated, you'd better find a interesting thing.a habbit is formed days and months multiplying.
as for me the daytime in the four seasons is sleepless, but in the night i have a sweet sleep.is it unusual like me?
